This is the worst service I have ever had. I have used them for years and have always paid on time, I have never disputed any of the real purchases I have made. I got a clearly fraudulent charge on my account. I spent an hour on the call with affirm just for them to do a 1 day "investigation" and state I am responsible for the 700 charge. I finally got a manager on the phone who cancelled the charge but If I didnt complain the way I did, they would have had me pay it. I will NEVER use them. In fact this happened to me once with paypal and there were no questions asked and they figured it out within 30 minutes. It's not worth it. Use klarna or paypal.
DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. I ha horrible experience with them. A fraud company charged me through them without shipping the product when i had to filed the 3 dispute. they keep asking me to prove i did not get the product. so they keep charging me for that until the lawsuit was filed and won against them.
They let someone else get credit in my name and Amazon sent the email to me to send to them to let them know that account was not me and Amazon talked to them and this was in 2023 yesterday it was placed on my credit so now I’m going to reach out to a lawyer to take they to court.
Was looking at a product on the “shop” went to put it my cart. It automatically purchased under my wife name and attached payment to my card. Have no authorization to do this. Taken 3 payments off my card never received the product. Filed a complaint through the “shop” they said go to affirm. Can’t track the product it doesn’t exist but I’m being charged. Been calling for 2 weeks “affirm” sitting on hold again while I write this for 2 hours. All anyone does is transfer me to another person. This is nothing but a big scam. They don’t vet their vender, offer no help in disputes, or getting a product. No safety measures no protocols. Got my bank involved they had nothing but problems with this company
Bought a xbox x off ebay for teenager daughter seller never sent it ebay blocked them refund was issued but thier system didn't add it to loan like its supposed to after I told them it did sent pictures even but now I still owe 87 somehow ill pay rest of my stuff and go to klarna or after pay petsmart and others like them better they said affirm is a pain to deal with i want the money paid refunded and it wiped off my account I told affirm id write this review but customer service acted like id be frustrated to but nothing we can do even though our system glitched im bout done with them and thier xtra interest if your even couple hrs late which ive only done twice in few yrs with them do not recommend affirm try ones I mentioned or sezzle
Giving 1 star because 0 is not allowed. My experience with Affirm’s dispute process was extremely disappointing. I used Affirm for a hotel booking through Booking.com and canceled the reservation almost immediately after realizing the property’s policies and listing information were misleading. Despite this, the property attempted to keep approximately 90% of the reservation value as a “cancellation fee.” I provided documentation showing the conflicting booking language and explained that the cancellation occurred within minutes, yet Affirm still sided with the merchant and claimed they could not assist because Booking.com was acting as an intermediary. What concerns me most is that Affirm appears to place little weight on fairness or deceptive business practices when reviewing disputes. Consumers use financing services expecting some level of protection and reasonable review, not automatic deference to merchants regardless of the circumstances. As a result of how this was handled, I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others before relying on Affirm to advocate for consumers during disputes.
Very bad company
I have used Affirm for 6 or 7 years. Getting approved is easy and paying a snap. However, I have started monitoring my credit and Affirm is doing me dirty. I paid off all my loans, and for some reason they are reporting a handful of them as new accounts at zero balance and the rest as closed. The company clearly cannot be trusted with my credit. I would not recommend this company due to thier lack of care when credit reporting.
Paid off all my accounts with one check. They applied it one account. Now they are sending me a refund check for over $2,000. Once I receive the overpayment, I have to send seperate checks with each account number on it. But now one of my accounts is overdue by 10 days. I owe a $533 payment which I dont have the money to pay again until I receive the refund. Representative told me it will be 30 days to receive the refund. Very unhappy with their payment posting procedure. They said because the initial check did not have individual account numbers written on it, they applied money to one of my accounts. Why couldn't they apply the check to all of my accounts? Dysfunctional.
First and foremost if you have a issue with your account - customer service is beyond horrible. Other Apps out there to use . Haven't been able to use my account for several months and just of BS responses and not able to fix.

This Place plays a CATFISH GAME you Except a payment plan then u Agree & check out & your Agreement is Absolutely 100% different i had a 6,000 doll bill & Agreed to 159.00 a month after check out ...my payment went to 273.00 a month With 33% interest Toral Scam STAY AWAY VERY DIRTY & When you Bring it to a Managers Attention they Say too late nothing they could do i even offered to put half down ...still No help This Place Must be Owned & Opperated BY DEMOCRATS!! Absolutely Disgusting
If its a credit card then u should be able to do with it as u wish not just certain things if u have the purchase power u should be able to get that money outta the bank and use it as u need it and pick your plan this card is stupid really if think about it cause what's the use in having it if I need 3 grand cash no point in having it if I pick my payment and I pay it whats the problem this i think is the stupidest card crap I have ever seen
I have purchased a few things through Affirm, and the ease of getting approved for purchases through Affirm is far outweighed by the horrible customer service issues encountered 🤪. Their "dispute" requirements in the app just runs you in circles, as does their "chat" support... Which keeps cutting you off and restarting. Absolutely nuts 🤪. I will likely end up with bad remarks on my credit after refusing to pay for a product following an almost 3 month dispute process that ended with them wanting me to start it yet again. Highly recommend using Klarna or almost anyone else! The process doesn't need to be this difficult
This has been one of the most frustrating services to use Affirm.ca I would never recommend this service. I used them as a the company i was purchasing a mattress from (Logan and Cove) had a 0% offer. The mattress ended up not being what i had hoped for and requested a refund. Now seeing that I used Affirm they mentioned that the refund would go to back to Affirm. This made sense to me but this is where things began to sour. I contacted Affirm on April 20th as they had only partially refunded me due to payments being over 180 days. This is a ridiculous policy but after some frustration i accepted this and was waiting for a cheque in a mail. Only for today after 23 days! Do they send me a message that the cheque will be another 30 days! This seem like a Scam. I will never use this service and please beware of these practices.
I have had an Affirm account for several years and never had any issues. About 6 months ago, I noticed purchases on my account, but they were not mine. I looked at the purchases that were not mine and found a delivery address. I looked the address up, and it was someone who had the exact first and last name as me in a totally different state. I verified I was not making any payments on those purchases, and after a couple of calls and emails, they were able to get them cleared up. Fast forward to about a month ago, I was unable to access my account, and it was frozen due to fraudulent/ suspicious activity. Customer service said they could not verify my identity and would not allow me to speak to anyone to verify it or send in proof of verification. I thought this was weird. Here I am trying to clear this up and do everything I can to prove my identity, but Affirm won't allow me to or give me any answers to anything regarding my account. Payments are still coming out of my bank account even though the email says any loans on my account will be forgiven and no longer my responsibility. They won't unfreeze my account or send me statements to verify these payments are my purchases. This is probably one of the WORST customer service companies I have ever dealt with. Surely this can't be legal. Think twice before opening an account with them.
