We had a nice experience with America Car Rental. No extra charges at pick up. No hassle with the return. They are at the airport so no shuttle to take. I recommand.
America Car Rental Orlando, original company is from Mexico. Booked from VIPCars from Skyscanner for $160, then when arrive at the counter (not close to MCO) they give us the price of $650 insisted we add insurance and toll charges, that we cannot use our own transponder that we need to pay $17/day or $34 if we don't add to the plan but use the toll highway. Luckily, we used our car insurance, Allstate, to opt out of the insurance, but the total still came to $450+ with $2500 refundable security deposit. We didn't feel comfortable with the whole experience, and hope no one else will experience it. Get the car from MCO airport for a better experience and similar pricing at the end. P.S., America Car Rental is not on Google Maps, there are other companies with similar names, but don't mistake them with the logos. They also have Sonic or Flex on their shuttle logos, and go to the same location. Be aware.
Very bad service , talking mean and rude to customers . My recommendation everyone don’t use the service there ( America Car Rental in Orlando near the MCO airport)
This is a horrible company! Run! Do not rent from them! They will scam you for more money! We rented a car months ago for our family trip that started today, when we arrived we showed them our confirmation number, ID, etc.. When they saw the price of $398.00 USD for 7 days, the lady showed her co-worker and said "Mira esta tarifa, podemos cobrar mucho mas, voy a decir que no encuentro la reserva y les dire que tenemos un auto por $1,200 usd mas seguro." Nothing else needed to be said, we left, and stopped talking english and spoke spanish, I wish one of took a picture of their faces, priceless!! If you don't look like a local, RUN!!!!!

The worst experience I've ever had with… The worst experience I've ever had with a car rental company. We received a car that could barely even turn on. When returning the car, they took so long and wasted our time, to the point that we almost missed our flight. The personnel was so unprofessional and we never received any paperwork to prove the contract. We've rented from other car rental companies and have never had any issues like we did with America Car Rental. I do not recommend and if I could I wouldn't even rate them a one star. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!
I strongly advise against renting from this company. We had a confirmed booking, but when our flight was delayed by just two hours, they gave our car away — even though they had our flight number and could easily see the delay. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. We trusted them to hold the car as any reputable rental company would, but instead, we were left stranded late at night with no assistance. Terrible customer service, zero flexibility, and no sense of responsibility. Avoid this company at all costs!

I purchased a holiday package, for Christmas, that included my flight, hotel, and rental car. Everything was fine except for the rental car portion. My review isn’t about the customer service — it’s about the company’s internal practices, which are misleading. When I booked the package, I paid about $100 for the rental car, with a note stating that “taxes and fees” would be due at pickup. What they don’t tell you is that the so‑called taxes and fees end up costing more than the rental itself. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was told my remaining balance was $290. They hide behind the wording of “taxes and fees,” but in reality, they charge the rental price at pickup and the taxes/fees upfront to lock you into the package. It’s a backwards and deceptive pricing model. On top of that, I reserved a compact SUV and was given a regular car. The vehicle wasn’t clean and looked more like something borrowed from a friend or family member — definitely not professionally maintained. It also took over an hour just to be picked up for the rental. I will never rent from this company again, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
Terrible. Worst car rental exp ever I rent a lot of cars, in the USA and in Europe. They slammed me with hidden fees while knowing 100% that I could not cancel. Car was old, bad wheel alignment, and had a running light out. Young man at the desk was calm but very difficult to work with. They refused to take my excellent insurance and forced me to buy theirs - and it cost MORE per day than the car rental did. They add a lot of hidden fees. What should have cost $216 for the week was almost $600!!!!!!!!!! When I called them to fix the charges they gave me a hard time. Refused to refund the excess charges. If they had just done the right thing, I would have mercy. Buyer Beware - bait & switch scam
They forced me to buy a 120 USD "insurance" for a 2 day hire worth 60 USD. By the time you find this out your stuck with them in the middle of nowhere... so its a scam. Rent from the terminal agencies instead!
