Customer service completely unavailable. Charged for my first box with no discount, no refund available only credits offered. Tried to contact customer service multiple times and no humans available. Worst customer service of all time. Total scam.
HelloFresh is keeping it real. I don't like gimmicks and pop ups all over the place like the other sites. HelloFresh is my go-to for now. Best Delivery service so far. I'm impressed.
Lack of variety of meals. Often same ingredients are repurposed with different names. Also quality of meat has not been great.
Have been using a new delivery company lately so it arrives super late. Also have had issues with protein being broken/unusable or missing items from recipes (ex - chicken Parmesan recipe came with potatoes but no breadcrumbs. there are no potatoes in the recipe tho??)
Recipe cards are great, ingredients are NOT.
2nd order received on May 15 was missing main ingredient for one meal. Sent dark chicken instead of pork chops!
I mentioned problems with shipping and the way some vegetables arrived in an earlier review. I received a very nice letter apologizing for the inconvenience and a credit to help smooth over my criticism. I really appreciate both the apology and the credit. They are enough to keep me from canceling, but HelloFresh needs to deliver what they promise consistently to earn a five star review from me. That said, the meal I had tonight (Greek Salad with Spiced Pork Patties) was easy to make and absolutely delicious.
My first couple boxes were amazing. Since then, I have missing meals, recipes hung up in the box tape or just damaged, meal bags busted open (or not properly sealed), etc. Quite messy actually. I don’t even refer people anymore. This is why I stopp d subscribing before. Sad.
Deliveries are very late, arriving around 8pm most weeks making it difficult to plan meals accordingly.
I re-started Hello Fresh for the past 3-months after having previously used it in the early 2020's in order to save time on meal planning and money on groceries. My earlier experience was overall positive. HelloFresh in 2026 is terrible for order quality and the punitive meal planning system. Over the past 3-months, we have had more orders with issues than not - these include the ice packs leaking all over the food, raw chicken leaking all over the food, missing ingredients and missing meals. I can't recall a single issue during my earlier membership, but now it is nearly every week. As per the punitive meal planning system - one of the reasons I use Hello Fresh is to assist with meal planning. However, if you forget to select your menu, they send you a default selection. In earlier times this was fine; it was in fact a way to sample new and different selections. So far this year, it feels more if you forget your lunch money and the school gives you the free lunch option. I don't have a vegetarian preference, but every time I forget to select the menu, there is no meat in any meal. These are clearly the highest margin selections they can send. EXCEPT I STILL PAY THEM $150USD unlike the school cafeteria! I've cancelled my membership. I will not be back.
Sometimes the food is not very fresh and has blemishes on the vegetables. Sometimes you do not put the cards in the package for instructions. And I do not like it when the package is delivered at 8 o’clock way past my dinner time.
This week there the recipe cards were missing. This happened previously the week before last. Precision and quality control is lacking.
Last week, I was missing a pack of chicken. This week, I’m missing a recipe card. Please get your ish together.
I was very excited to restart my HelloFresh subscription. We are a bit more rural now so I was concerned about deliveries. The first box was delivered perfectly. The 2nd week box was delayed and then non deliverable but you did provide me a refund...thank you! Unfortunately, the 3rd box is now also delayed. If this continues, I may have to cancel which is something I really don't want to do. I hope it can get sorted out because I have fun cooking your recipes! :-)
They sent the wrong ingredients for 2 of my 3 meals and the quality in the one correct box was bad. I called and only got refunded for one meal.
