I have used instacart fo 2 years but it's going to stop. I got an order delivered tonight, I had missing items, chocolate on cookies melted, and it took them 2 hrs to get here. It ws a terrible experience. The last order wasn't good either. Time to cancel membership and find some other delivery service. Waste of money!
I've only ordered from Instacart once during Covid. I was ill recently and needed help so I ordered some groceries. It offered a 2 week trial, expiring on May 16th and I accepted thinking I might need another delivery. I canceled on May 16th and received confirmation. On the 17th, I received an alert from my bank and Instacart was trying to get $79. Now, in order to stop Instacart, my bank says that I need to cancel my card and get a new debit card. What a burden to have to travel to the bank and wait in line, let alone calling all my creditors that I have autopay with. I'm sure I can't be the only one they are doing this to. I followed the rules and they should too. Shame on you people at Instacart!
Let me first off saying that if I could give 0 stars then I would. My husband and I placed an order for our groceries at 10am. Instacart then send a notification that our groceries would be delivered by 3pm. We then got a notification that our things would arrive at 5:30pm. We now just got another notification that our groceries would arrive at 7pm. This is our first and last time using instacart. Just so that we could enjoy our Sunday relaxing and not having to leave the house we decided to use this approach to save us the trip to the store. Clearly nobody on the instacart team wants to resolve this issue and can only say what every other company says when they're handling an upset customer...."I'm sorry for the inconvenience"....after reading the reviews, it's evident that this has been an ongoing issue with instacart and it's wild that y'all are even still in business. Get y'all ish together.
Worst customer service ever. They delivered the wrong items. Customer service would not help. Their online forms are terrible. They refused to give me a refund for their mistake. I have appealed several times. I can't believe they can run a company this way.
Liars and scammers. I’m a senior in Florida. I used them often. Yesterday 05/16/26 I had to order from two stores. The first store went just fine. The second store, they scammed me. The second I saw the so called shopper’s photo.. I knew something diabolical was going to happen. It was just a photo of a woman with nothing on it, as usually it says diamond shopper or platinum shopper etc. the woman looked very suspicious … fake picture! First she said they didn’t have an item which I know they always have, I told her by text to look again. Anyhow, at the end of the fiasco, hours go by and nothing. I went to the help section and asked what’s wrong? The first order had already arrived, very polite young man.. AND he had left his home way after the scammer, everything perfect, and a very polite young man! Customer service was very rude and disgusting. Nasty people. Nobody ever came. I kept texting her and she would not reply as everybody else always does and they’re all very polite. It was a scam from Canada going on for some reason. I told customer service I wanted to cancel the order. It was like three hours, it showed she was still at the store. Adris D is her so called fake name. I reached out to customer service again and told them I wanted to cancel order. They said, OK…BUT IT WILL COST ME 15. American dollars. I said OK I WILL WAIT A BIT LONGER, then THEY canceled it themselves!!! That is NOT HAPPENING! I lost my temper and called them all every name in the book. I don’t recommend that company. They’re liars and thieves. I was a great customer.. now they can go drink canal water. Do not use Instacart because eventually … YOU WILL REGRET IT! I’m starting legal proceedings with that nasty company!! I would like to have their license number, but I will let my attorney take care of that one. I don’t play! The reason I order is because no one is around at that moment, and I am blind out of one eye! SENIOR ABUSE!!!
Do not use INSTACART! they quietly add x3 or x4 items that are unrelated sand chart you additional fees beyond delivery fees. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing! Stay away and report them if you use them and see the thievery. Check you Cart at checkout, I kid you not! I did not recognizing one of the items of 20!
Got the wrong order delivered twice really disappointing
I signed up to shop for Instacart and had a very frustrating experience from the very beginning. Before I even started shopping, I attempted to cancel the order because the app stated that the particular store I was shopping only accepted a physical card. In order to cancel, shoppers are required to either go through an automated chat or call customer service. I thought using the chat would be the easier option. However, once I explained that I was canceling because I only had a digital card, the automated system responded by telling me that I could use my digital card for the order. Based on that information, I proceeded with the batch. I drove to the store, used my own gas, and spent time shopping for the customer’s items, only to get to checkout and find out the card would not work at all. At that point, I immediately contacted customer service for help, but the support I received was disappointing. The representatives and tech support showed little concern about the situation and offered no real solution. I requested to speak with a manager and was placed on hold for over 15 minutes, only to be told management was “unavailable.” That response felt dismissive and unprofessional considering the issue was caused by misinformation from their platform. Because of Instacart’s miscommunication, I wasted my time, gas, and effort completing work that I could not finish through no fault of my own. What made the situation worse is that they refused to compensate me for the time I had already spent shopping the order. For a company that depends on shoppers to keep the platform running, there should be better communication, better technical support, and basic respect for people’s time. Right now, it feels like shoppers are left to deal with the consequences when the system fails.
Instacart shopper had instructions in my account and via chat box to deliver groceries to my door. This was known prior to arrival. Shopper decided to ignore and instead propped the groceries up against the front gate of my building which blocked me from opening the gate door which has to be pushed forward. This delivery included a 16-lb bag of ice which began tearing open and a carton of eggs which was placed directly under the bottom spikes of the gate which also began to crush, as I pushed forward I had to stick my hand between the iron bars to nudge the bags backward with my fingers. Otherwise, I would have to walk around the block by exiting out of the back gate. I did not want to even momentarily leave the purchases next to the sidewalk. My opinion is that the shopper did not want to carry the heavy items. There were no issues with access as gate code and full instructions were previously provided.
I’m a shopper here, the one who makes your order happen. Working for Instacart has been a joke. I’m penalized for items that are sold out (yes, I asked an associate) and even when the associate confirms it’s sold out, the app says otherwise! Why a joke of an apps “inventory” would know more than the people IN STORE? Idk. Blows me, like I said it’s a joke. A flawed system. On top of that, they’ve slowly decreased their pay over the past 5 years. Offering as low as $4-$5 for some trips that require 30 min + of work. They’re really out here expecting people to work for around $10 an hour. It’s insulting. F YOU Instacart I hope you go out of business.
Instacart is one of the worst online shopping and delivery companies I have dealt with. I was charged more than the actual purchase amount on my bank account, and one of the items I paid for was never delivered even though it was listed as available in the app. Their customer service was extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and unwilling to take accountability for their mistakes or provide an appropriate resolution. The overall experience showed a serious lack of transparency, reliability, and customer care.
Sold rotten food and refused a refund. I guess instacart just out here trying to rob and kill people.
This is the third time I have had problems getting my order from Instacart. The first time, they delivered the wrong items. The second time I went to pick up early, my order was half an hour late. This time, my order is late, and someone added a case of beets to my order. Customer service reported that I may not get my order tonight. The supervisor provided a waived delivery fee on the next order. What kind of customer service is that?
