NEVER order from Ulta. I didn’t receive my shipment, so I chatted with customer service. He said that I have to wait 2 weeks before I can report the problem. After 2 weeks, I reported the problem through an email with Monica. Monica was useless. Then I called the customer service number. That person told me she was ‘back office’ and couldn’t help me until it was ‘escalated’. I asked how long that would take and she said up to a week. Ulta has my money, I don’t have my products, and I have no idea if or when I might get a refund.
I went to ulta beauty in Hagerstown Md to get some blonde highlights. I asked for a blended highlight because I have brunette hair. The first night I got them it was totally fine. But after that night they were horrible. I paid $250. Never going again. Highlights are stripes and they are not blended at all. They also look like they were done by a 5 year old. DO NOT GO TO ULTA TO GET YOUR HAIR DONE.
Bought a lip gloss. The tip had broken off inside bottle. I opened product about a week later after purchase i didnt have receipt so couldn't return it. Basically, cannot use product and lost my money. I contacted customer service andthey did nothing.
Grove city outlet mall grove city Pa worse people working ever, rude, never welcomed me nor asked if I needed help or anything I’m a diamond member and to be treated so poorly unreal and I love shopping with ULTA but lately no thanks
I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent experience. I placed an online order for in-store pickup, but encountered a series of unacceptable issues. First, an employee named Jimenz (over the phone) claimed it was canceled due to inventory, and bizarrely suggested I intended to steal the product. Subsequently, another employee, Samantha, contradicted this, stating I could pick up the order. Upon my arrival, however, staff denied Samantha's existence, and I was subjected to what felt like racial profiling and hostile treatment. This is not an isolated incident; I have experienced similar discriminatory behavior in the Marina Del Rey store, and online. Ultimately, I was forced to purchase the item twice and have not received a refund for the original order. one male employee and blonde women standing by front entrance denied no samantha ever work here, one asian women folding clothes continue stare and kept laughing at me . very intimidated, racist, hostile womens work at ulta .below zero star.
I ordered two items, one to go to my mother in laws house, and the other to my mother's house. They not only canceled the one that was suppose to go to my mother's house without explanation, but when I called customer service, they hung up on me twice. Horrible customer service! Never using buying from them again.
I booked a hair and makeup appointment for my daughter for her senior prom 2 months in advance. We arrived for the appointment just to be told she's not in the system and the stylist stopped working there a month ago. They didn't have anyone that could do the service and there was nothing they could do. My daughter got the confirmation texts and everything. This is horrible. It's her senior prom. Shes so upset. The manager did nothing to make it right.
Horrible customer service. They don’t try to fix their errors in anyway.
On May 2, 2026, I had the misfortune of shopping the Ulta location in Creekwood Commons in Parrish, Florida. Denise was absolutely amazing. The epitome of excellence in customer service; however, Tiki and Bethany, quite the contrary. Bethany especially, was not only unwelcoming, but rude and disrespectful with sass and gestures and all. When I looked for someone to get me a manager, the only staff member on the floor was too busy putting on her makeup on one of the mirrors in one of the aisles. I literally had to interrupt her to ask her to please get me a manager only for her to go tell Bethany I asked for a manager and the two of them walked almost hand in hand skipping to the back of the store to get the manager. Wow! What kind of a climate does this store encourage and condone? Denise belongs somewhere where her customer service skills are appreciated and rewarded. Based on my experience last evening, I will NEVER step foot in this store again. It's bad enough the parking in this property is terrible, but to go through the parking chaos and be treated the way Bethany treated me, I will give my money to a company that values my business and my hard earned money. If Ulta's core values listed on the internet are accurate: Core Values Driving the Mission: Be Guest-Obsessed: Centering all efforts on customer loyalty and experience. Be Inclusive: Ensuring everyone feels welcome and represented. Be Innovative: Evolving the shopping experience through digital and physical integration. Be Kind & Transparent: Acting with integrity to make a positive impact. Win Together: Supporting associates and communities. Ulta's vision is to be the most-loved beauty destination and the most-admired retailer by guests, associates, partners, and investors. Bethany certainly failed in upholding Ulta's Core Values last night.
I bought a gift card from ralphs the pin code got messed up. had a receipt to prove purchased calle and emailed ralphs they said contact ulta i called and email ulta and they said to contact original seller. they both throw it at each other and none of them want to give me a refund this is BS. They cant refund a $25 gift card??
The return policy is a hassle. They either ask you to return it at their actual store or you have to literally mail it to them where you would have to pay for the packaging and the shipping cost additionally. This is my first time and last time ordering from them, I would rather stick with Sephora
I was not given the promotion that Ulta offered
