A lovely place to retire

I absolutely adore my apartment by Beechcroft Developments, its interior is finished to an excellent standard and all fixtures and fittings feel luxurious and well made. Not only is the development of a very high standard, I feel like I'm at home here and have been made to feel very welcome by other home owners. There is a real community feel about the place. The purchase was easy and the staff at Beechcroft are helpful and kind. I look forward to many happy years here.

Lovely apartment but lack of support from head office

Very poor support for building services such as phone, broadband, smart meter, car charger, heating. Rectification needed such as plasterwork corners and scratched windows which should have been remedied before completion of sale

My new house is delightful but the whole process took a very long time. A whole year from exchanging to moving in. The sales lady Emma Sturgess has always been approachable, friendly & helpful which eased some of my stress.

Buying an apartment at Pinewood Place

I downsized from a 4 bedroom house to my beautiful 2 bedroom apartment at Pinewood Place. Helen Niles made the purchase procedure for the apartment as easy as she could. Helen has a lovely professional yet friendly personality and was always available to answer my many questions. I was encouraged to view the apartment as often as I wanted to. Helen even helped me to measure up to ensure that my furniture would fit! The admin side of moving in was very efficient and I was very pleased with the whole experience

Highly professional and supportive.

Our experience from beginning to end of the buying and moving in stage has been fully supported and highly professional. Helen was with us every step of the way through the ups and downs of selling one property and buying another. Beechcroft are all that they claim to be and we are delighted to be home in our beautiful apartment

Re-sales at Cotswold Gate, Burford

Beechcroft Developments are preventing prospective buyers, who visit the sales office at Cotswold Gate, Burford, from knowing that there are several re-sale properties available to purchase. Re-sale properties can be purchased at huge savings - sometimes saving as much as £60,000 over a new-build. There are currently several stunning re-sales at Cotswold Gate being advertised on Rightmove and with local Estate Agents. It's worth a look!

Rothschild Place

"We moved into our Beechcroft Development in November 2014. A brand new apartment with spacious rooms and first class finishings. Well spacious rooms was correct but nothing else was first class. We did not think to have a surveyor as it was a new development. A tragic mistake Our first problem was the shower not having any hot water. This turned out to be not plumbed in. After a couple of days, we noticed damp in the dining room carpet. This was due to the shower drain not being attached to the drainage system, so the water ran along the floor and was soaked up by the carpet leaving a permanent stain. So, all had to be moved and a new carpet laid. The plumbing was not good, it had been fitted by a relative (I believe he was the nephew of one of the Warburton (plumbing company) managers so was not checked or dealt with properly. He was moved to another site. The windows were purchased from a company in Ireland, unfortunately this company went bankrupt not long after the windows and doors were purchased. They had bars to create a traditional appearance fitting to the location. Sadly the company had not used the correct glue so every time the windows were washed there would be a shower of bars too. They are still falling off, even though replacements are regularly made. The wood used for balconies and upright supports was for indoor use and had not been treated for outside purposes. So over the past year one of the balconies has been replaced and another has been almost completely replaced. The total replacement is still not in order. Beechcroft are developers and not builders, and our small development was managed by a tradesman who had little experience but could buy a bargain. Sadly he did not spend his time checking work done to appropriate standards. We are still going through the section 20 schedule of works and it seems as if the snagging is almost as much as the agreed work schedule. The majority of the works are due to the incompetence of the builder and the poor ELM management. Our Estate Manager is limited in what he can achieve as ELM does not seem to be able to offer competent professional support to the estates they manage for Beechcroft."

Do not touch Beechcroft Developments…

Do not touch Beechcroft Developments with a Bargepole I puchased a mews house at Rothschild Place in Tring from Beechcroft in 2014. Shortly after taking possession, the floorboards started to lift. An investigation revealed that no strutting had been fitted between the joists causing the joists to move. The floor boarding had only been glued to the joists whereas the Building Regulations required the floor boarding to be both glued and screwed to the joists. Beechcroft obtained a Completion Certificate from the Local Authority by falsely claiming the property had been constructed in accordance with the Building Regulations. Its construction had been so shambolic that a teenage apprentice had worked unsupervised on the flooring. Beechcroft had no way of knowing if it had complied with the Regulations. I had to move out of the property to enable Beechcroft to retrofit the strutting. However, it only did so where there was easy access leaving areas that were tiled or fitted furniture had been installed. It failed to screw the original floorboarding to the joists. After the Warranty period had expired it became apparent that the repairs had not been properly undertaken causing the 1st floor to be unstable resulting in water leaks. Beechcoft refused to accept liability relying on the Statute of Limitations (which prevents legal action after 6 years). It ignored the fact that where there is a latent defect the Statute applies from the date the latent defect is discovered. Since purchasing my property, I have spent £6000 repairing defective plumbing and £19000 on stuctural repairs.

Our initial experience of Beechcroft…

The resident staff have always been helpful and attentive including the building workforce in site. All of our requests have been attended ti in a prompt manner. Our only disappointment was that the customer after sales team seemed disorganised, lacking in structure and sound knowledge.

Moving to Cotswold gateEssentially the people who were…

Essentially the people who were incredibly helpful and di what they said they would do. Made helpful recommendations without making us feel under pressure. Some we used and some we went our own way but at no time did we feel under any pressure. Since moving in issues, not many, have been dealt with efficiently although not necessarily speedily unless they were genuinely urgent. A good professional team.

Pinewood Place

I moved into Pinewood Place in Windsor at the beginning of August and I am absolutely loving it. People are very friendly and my flat is so comfortable and easy to maintain. The estate is kept in pristine condition, clean and well trimmed. Now that the weather has turned colder I am amazed by how much cheaper my heating bills are. I am still working and find it very easy to pop in and out to London for meetings and theatre. And so handy for Heathrow!

CASTLE GARDENS

We moved in to our house in September and are comfortably settled in. The house is beautifully equipped and fully meets our requirements as a retirement home. There were some minor problems when we moved in but these have all been dealt with in the snagging process. Elaine, the salesperson was incredibly helpful and patient during our long drawn out house sale. Linda, the estate manager, could not do more for the residents. A friendly community has developed and we are happy to be a part of it. MOVED

A beautiful development in a peaceful environment at Castle Gardens. Very helpful and friendly staff who have fostered the growth of a very relaxed and happy community. The apartment is spacious and extremely well fitted out with high end equipment. All the visitors I have had have been very impressed.

So glad we chose to be here.

The friendliness and help we have received is fantastic. Elaine has been amazing as have the rest of the team. From the first viewing to when we actually moved in and thereafter. The apartment is so spacious and extremely well built. Any issues have been resolved immediately. Our neighbours are lovely and we know we will be really happy here.
