Arrived swiftly and makes a tangible difference even on sliding windows in an unfortunately listed building — now the only remaining issue is single-glazing. It’s greatly reduced the draughts coming in from wind outside and enough of it is delivered to apply 2 layers if needed.

I wanted green/natural insulation to plug draughts in my porch and found Chimney Sheep online. The fleece arrived promptly and is ideal for stuffing into small spaces. For a larger gap, I rolled some into a sausage and wedged it in.
Bought several 3litre Olla’s to help with watering the pots during away times in the summer. Haven’t tried them yet as summer not yet here of course. However, two of the items were damaged on arrival. On contacting customer service, they sent replacements which arrived within a couple of days and they are fine. If all companies responded as favourably as this one to problems, life would be so much better. Thank you Chimney Sheep.
Love the product. Used the calculator to work out the size I needed, picked a nice tag to hang in my fireplace. Arrived quickly (paid for expedited delivery) and followed their advice to test the fit before getting it sooty and it fits perfectly. Lounge is noticeably warmer and quieter with no more drafts!

Have a very cold house almost everything that can be done to retain heat has being done but still the living room was cold unless you put the boiler and when very cold the gas fire on. In sheer desperation I decided to to buy a Chimney sheep and have to say best purchase for a long time. Easy to position and with the handle and tag easy to get out and most important remember to remove if I want to use the fire . Have to say within a few hours of installing it the room was warmer and even with the heating off the room is considerably warmer. Now on to the next project. Putting a boiler condenser trace heater cable on to stop my boiler pipe from freezing
I have a pair of sheepskin slippers where the insoles have started to disintegrate. So I bought a pair of Chimney Sheep's wool insoles to bring the slippers back to life. They fit the slippers fine, and are very comfy. The order arrived quickly. All good!

They recommended a 12" sheep for a 9" flue! Plan A was to push the flat sheep up flue - disaster face full of soot/grit etc Plan B Wrap sheep in 2.5 l paint tin and stuff it in to the bottom of a 9" plastic bucket. Allow to stand overnight. Notice the way wool expands to fill the creases. Your sheep now resembles a mushroom. Return sheep in bucket to fireplace, remove from bucket and easily insert sheep into flue. One warm lounge!

Made a big mistake trying to save money with a cheaper chimney balloon. Was ok at first but only lasted a little over 12 months before constantly deflating and what a filthy job getting the thing inflated again. Just save yourself the hassle and buy a chimney sheep. Poked up the chimney easily, prodded the edges with a stick to ensure a snug fit and that's it, fit and forget. Should be the last time I get covered in soot, loose lime mortar, feathers and bird poo. Result! Room feels instantly warmer and draught free. Buy cheap, buy twice.
We’ve had our “sheep” for about a year now and it has made a positive difference in the comfort of our home. We no longer have drafts in the lounge or hear howling on windy nights. The cottage is warmer as the heat isn’t going up the inglenook. A side bonus is the range extractor used to draw air from the chimney at times causing the home to smell smoky. We were able to turn the thermostat down too.
I have just bought 3 sheeps to block up 3 open unused chimneys in our house. I’ve used plastic bags and chimney balloons in the past but the sheep are just so much better. Worth paying a little more than a balloon for a high quality product that does the job. The house instantly feels warmer and I feel much happier going into this cold season that we won’t be losing unnecessary heat. I kind of winged it with the sizing and got lucky, make sure you order a little bigger to plug the chimney properly. Fab company!
