A Renter’s Nightmare My nightmare began just six months into my tenancy agreement. What started as a small roof leak, which I immediately reported to the landlord as per my agreement, quickly escalated due to multiple failed attempts at repairs. The landlord’s repeated "bodge" jobs made the situation progressively worse, eventually rendering the property uninhabitable. I was forced to leave, as it became unsafe to stay. After trying to resolve the issue directly with the landlord, I decided to involve the property management team and informed Cristina about the situation. Unfortunately, her first response was a threat of re-renting fees, rather than offering any real assistance or addressing my concerns. By mid-December, just before Christmas, I was left without Roof windows in the property. Cristina sent one email in December apologizing for the situation, but there were no follow-ups or escalation, which I would have expected from a professional property manager. I found her handling of the situation to be unprofessional, and her actions seemed to favor the landlord’s neglect rather than the tenant’s safety and comfort. I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking a professional rental experience.
Collinson Hall have been managing our residential estate for a couple of years now, and they have provided the most courteous and professional service. They deal with all Block Management issues thoroughly, and in a timely fashion. Tracy and her associates have been a tremendous help, and we look forward to continuing with them into the future.

I rented a property from Collinson Hall in Bricket Wood July 2022 - April 2024. The whole experience has been awful, with the house we rented for £2300.00 pm being in a constant state of disrepair with Collinson Hall employing contractors who have acted inappropriately, showing racist apparently 'joke' videos to myself at the property, never arriving when they were supposed to, being aggressive to myself and my family and leading us to move out early as the experience was soo traumatic. The person looking after our property at Collinson Hall is part time and no-one else seems to be able to take responsibility, we've been waiting 10 days for our deposit repayment with no recommendations at all. There was no check in report made, which I can only assume was an oversight on Collinson Halls part, but one which has caused difficulties and as such I have raised a dispute with the TDS and the ICO with regards proposed personal data breaches made by Collinson Hall. I would highly recommend anyone considering renting or buying from Collinson Hall to think again, as my experience with this agent has been horrendous.

Holly Marshall-Clarke was appointed by Collinson Hall as Property Manager for our Chalfont Place Estate 6 months ago and straight away made a positive impact in transforming management of our blocks of flats. Holly delivers a most excellent service to Chalfont Place residents and Directors. She is wonderfully efficient, extremely conscientious, always very courteous, immensely patient, gives prompt attention to all matters, thinks things through, shows good initiative and provides everything we need for efficient management of our estate. Best of all she heeds what is said in emails, acts on them and keeps us updated on progress.
Collinson Hall has been managing the rental of my home in St Albans since July 2022. The sales team was super friendly and informative when we put the house on the market. I had mixed feelings about the maintenance team, due mixed messaging and slow response times early on in the tenancy. Collinson Hall listened to my feedback and said they would make an effort to meet my needs as a landlord, which I appreciated. However, communication continues to be poor with the maintenance staff, and I need to get involved with / chase up every little issue. Collinson Hall has only ever said that they are doing a good job and they have not been open to accepting that they have space to make any improvements.
Awful service, never rent through them. They don’t return deposits at the end of tenancy. Please note: the TDS returned most of the deposit back when challenged proving Collinson Hall are terrible and their reply below is in bad faith.
Throughout a long and protracted sales process, Ron and the team at Collinson Hall, St Albans, were fantastic in their level of service and support. In particular, Sales Progressor, Alison Stephens, went over and above in her endeavours to complete our sale. We can't recommend Collinson Hall highly enough.
This agency is extremely coniving and cunning. The staff that we dealt with were always blaming issues and repairs on the tenants us and trying to get us to pay for things that should be covered by the landlord. The staff on the phones are only looking out for the landlords best interests not the customers. They are constantly trying to swindle tenants by not carrying out necessary works to the property and asking for a raise in the rent with no intentions of fixing any current issues. They have also been extremely dishonest and greedy by trying to steal our deposit money and trying to justify taking it based on made up lies about cleaning. Avoid at all costs our landlord was only interested in his rent money and not maintaining the property and offcourse Collinson hall will stick by whatever the landlord wants even if it goes against regulations as long as they get their cut pushing customers to avoid paying maintenance costs etc.. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Amazing service from Becky. She made the whole sales process completely stress free. She kept us fully informed from start to finish. She was a pleasure to deal with and treated us like valued customers. If I were able to give them more stars I would have. Well done Collinson Hall.
I would recommend John and the team without hesitation. After an AWFUL experience with Strutt & Parker St Albans (from a selling and buying perspective), John came in and was a breath of fresh air. He understood the situation quickly, looked for the "right" buyers for the house (adopted a very targeted approach v the previous scattergun approach) and sold to a solid cash buyer (who was also lovely) in under 4 weeks. Hes honest, direct (manages expectations) and personable.
