Overall, good experience. - although lack of communication.

Ordered on Jan 23rd, delivered on 3rd of February. I don't think people are taking into consideration that these are live animals and must be shipped with a specific company to ensure they're delivered safely, unless other people in your area are receiving things from that company then it's not always possible to deliver quickly. The fish (Betta) itself was in immaculate condition. I myself was slightly frustrated with the wait - but I'd much prefer a healthy, live betta than an unhealthy or deceased one!! 4 stars due to lack of communication about delivery, but I appreciate that this would likely require extra staff or take staff away from caring for the aquatics!

My daughter ordered 2 vampire crabs and…

My daughter ordered 2 vampire crabs and three other items on 05.01.2026. The money was taken from our account but we received no order confirmation and heard nothing until the 25.01.2026 saying the order would be delivered tomorrow (26th). Half of the order arrived (crabs and rocks). One crab sadly didn't survive. They were poorly packaged. We are still missing the other half of the order. Since the initial order we have tried to email, phone and send a Whatsapp message many times. None of these have ever been answered. Absolutely appalling service Avoid at all costs

I ordered on 14th January but heard…

I ordered on 14th January but heard nothing till 29th. Emails or calls not answered. Yesterday a man rung from there to say sorry for delay and could delivery date be booked. 1st available was 18th Feb so have agreed, we shall see! And I,ll update once received. ***EDIT*** Order delivered! Packaged well, healthy plants, snails and fish look well. Did ask for a different Loach to one sent. Need to pay more attention to communication in future.🙂

Poor customer service and animal neglect

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Delta Aquarium. The order was confirmed to be delivered on the 14th Jan, yet there was no delivery. Despite multiple attempts to contact the company via phone and email, I received no response. After five days of silence, I decided to cancel the order via email due to their lack of communication and failure to deliver the product. Their customer service is entirely unprofessional; the phone line is consistently unanswered, and their voicemail inbox is perpetually full, preventing any possibility of leaving a message. It is unacceptable for a company to operate in such a manner, especially when customers are left in the dark regarding their orders. Seven days later, I finally received a reply stating that the order would be sent. I explicitly informed them that I no longer wanted the order, yet the fish arrived despite my clear instructions. The delivery company refused to take the fish back, which further added to my frustration. I advised the company that I would hold the fish for seven days before donating them to a local charity, but I received no response. If I had never accepted the fish, they would have died, which is a clear indication of the company's neglect and lack of responsibility. The wellbeing of the animals should be a priority, but their treatment in this instance demonstrated a complete disregard for this. Ultimately, I had no choice but to initiate a chargeback through my bank, which resulted in a full refund. The entire experience has been nothing short of a nightmare—disorganised, unprofessional, and completely unsatisfactory. This company’s lack of communication, disregard for customer requests, poor customer service, and evident neglect of animal welfare are utterly unacceptable. I strongly advise others to avoid Delta Aquarium at all costs.

Shop elsewhere!

I’ve ordered from here before and had no issues, this time around is another story. I ordered on the 30th Dec and didn’t hear anything about the order and I decided to give them some time as it was Christmas and new year. My order isn’t showing on my account so I emailed to ask if they received my order as I’ve got an order confirmation and invoice from them, nearly a month later and emails being ignored I finally disputed the transaction with my bank and looking at the other reviews I’m so glad I did. My order was £150 and they’ve ignored my emails. I’ve now placed an order with another company and the fish have been shipped already. I’ll never place an order with delta again such poor customer service! Thankfully my bank has gave me the money back I hope others manage to get their money back.

Guy is just a thief

Guy is just a thief, Ordered 4 fish, never had 3 of them in stock. Agreed to accept alternatives and wait on a yellow tang on back order. Then claimed he sent the yellow tang with the other fish. Basically stole £280. Scumbags. Do yourself a favour and never buy from here.

DO NOT order anything from this company. They take your money with no guarantee of actually getting your order. Absolutely shocking customer service. Contacted them about an order placed in December, it's now January and still waiting for my order. Enquired about my order after a week of waiting, short reply was shop is being renovated, have heard nothing else since. Tried various options to contact again and even requested a refund....still waiting for a response. Spend your money elsewhere or even better read reviews about the company before ordering. You have been warned.

SCAMMERS

SCAMMERS! Ordered an axolotl with other small things on 01 January. They took my money and had gone silent. Contacted them on 06 January and requested a delivery for 08 January. Following multiple phonecalls and an email from me that I am cancelling the order if they cannot live up to the expectation, they replied and explain that the weather conditions are unfortunate and they will refund. Requested an estimate time for the refund, ever since they ghosted me.I paid by Paypal and opened a case to get my full refund. I received an email yesterday, thanking me for the purchase and hoping that I enjoy my recent delivery that I have never received and ruined my child's b.day. If they know that weather conditions are an issue, thay should state this prior to cutomers placing the order. I called 30 times and emailed them and received no reply. Once, Paypal refunded me fully, I will take matters further and demand compensation for the days they used my money. Do not purchase with Debit card or you will never see your money again.

Ordered 3 January. Sent emails & phoned. Not had a reply. Very strange behaviour. I would advise people not to order until I receive my delivery. I will post here when my order is settled! 😡😡 Order arrived today, 23 Jan. communication has been a major issue with Delta. Not sure how to proceed in the future but at least I received fish!!

Fish not delivered in over a month.

We’ve had an awful experience attempting to get our fish delivered. We made an order at the beginning of December, there was no communication from the shop. Due to Christmas and poor weather we allowed more time for them to contact us and for the fish to be dispatched. We are now mid Jan, they won’t answer the phone and the only correspondence we’ve received is they’re delayed due to poor weather. We’re now filing for a complete refund. I would avoid and go elsewhere saving yourself the hassle.
