DO NOT BUY FROM RUGROSE. Rug damaged and stained my amtico flooring. Seller accepted liability, but Etsy won't do anything as was TWO days too late to open a case. Paypal closed case as was over 30 days. Absolute scum all of them.

They ban accounts without giving any reason. Stay away! Don’t invest your valuable time into something they take away from you overnight when you start to make money.
I bought 2 Scottish bears for my wife supposedly made in the U.K , advertised as hand made. Now for the kicker, the parcel was sent from Latvia, the items were made in China and this practice of advertising is pathetic. Shame on you Etsy P.O.S
I bought a ring on Etsy that I believe was counterfeit. After leaving a one-star review, the seller began contacting me in a way I found harassing and intimidating. Because the seller had access to my delivery address, I became concerned about my privacy and safety, and eventually closed my account. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Etsy.
ETSY is the most awful company ever. Their customer support is nonexistent. I have tried buying from their vendors, and 10 times, the vendor cancelled my purchases. Some for no reason, Others for reasons that should have been noted on their website. I see Etsy has horrible reviews on Trustpilot. Now I know why. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ETSY. It will be a waste of your time.
ETSY IS A SCAM! I have communicated with a supplier since March in order to return goods which are fake and to get a refund. Supplier (Surja Enterprise in New Delhi) ignores all messaging to receive contact details in order to return goods. Without returned goods, no refund. I have reported the supplier via Etsy's "report a supplier". After 1 month, I get an email from Etsy; "was your issue with the supplier resolved?". I answered "NO - please call me back on this number for resolving the issue". Then I get a return email from Etsy, that "this email address is not monitored", and I am referred to their help center, which only offers the form "report a supplier", which I have already done. There is NOWHERE a phone number on which you can contact etsy. THIS IS FRAUD, THIS IS FRAUD, THIS IS FRAUD - ETSY ASSISTS COMPANIES IN FRAUD. THEIR MOTTO "KEEP COMMERCE HUMAN" IS A JOKE. I strongly advise all potential customers to stay far away.
I actually sell on etsy, they suspended my account while I have orders people are waiting for their orders that I already prepared and some are in process of production, some are not. I don’t recommend to use this marketplace at all, means they don’t protect their sellers while I invested a lot of money and time on building my store, and in one click everything dissapeared. They don’t respect sellers and buyers. They canceled my clients orders while I already prepared their orders are sent for delivery
Etsy was once a fantastic place to find authentic creations but now is a wasteland of garbage and dropship nonsense. It should be closed down at this point.
I just wanted to sell a few PDFs online and the whole process became way more complicated than expected. Getting asked for GST details and extra business-related stuff felt ridiculous for a small creator trying to sell digital products. The platform feels more suited for full businesses than independent creators starting small. Setup was frustrating, onboarding was confusing, and honestly it killed my motivation to even continue. There are much simpler creator-focused platforms now that make selling digital products way easier.
I purchased a wooden box meant for our recently deceased dog's ashes. Upon receiving the item I instantly noticed a horribly pungent smell - very musty. The item was poorly made using a sheet rock screw that was not inset on the bottom which scratched the top of my desk. The price I paid for this item is NOT worth the money not even half the money. Battling back and forth with seller has terrible experience - no refund in sight. Because of this, I will never buy anything on Etsy ever again - this was my first purchase here. No recourse with sellers who refuse to make it right with the buyers. Terrible customer service.
I've had a very bad experience with Etsy. When I need help and ask a question, the advisors stop talking mid-sentence and don't answer my questions. Etsy always charges my card, but getting my money back from my sale is very difficult. It requires a lot of paperwork, time, and conversations with advisors who interrupt conversations. I definitely don't recommend this platform to anyone.
Ordered an item from DeCords Store on Etsy and it never arrived. No refund from the seller or Etsy. Support is non-existent here. Do not use this site.
