Absolutely loved my 2-day taster — so much that I’ve now booked the Gold Package! Day 1 was fantastic. Zoe was my instructor and she was incredibly friendly, supportive, and helpful. Within about two hours I was already getting off the ground (around 30 cm!). After a few more runs I was reaching about double that height. Later in the day, with help from Tim and Scrappy at the top, I flew from top to bottom, with Zoe guiding me down with paddles. Day 2 was with Scrappy and Ylva. We started with some ground handling (which I wasn’t great at!), but both instructors were very patient and gave lots of helpful advice to improve. After that we did a few flights from halfway up the hill, and then a full flight from the top of a much bigger hill than the day before. It was absolutely amazing, and that was the moment I decided to book onto the full course. I would highly recommend Fly Sussex to anyone who wants to try paragliding. Everyone I’ve met there so far has been friendly, welcoming, and really supportive.
Stole my money. Booked a flight course for £600 plus. Was unable to attend due to having a discectomy operation that was unsuccessful. Called and asked the voucher to be refunded. Their terms say after a year they can take the money. I was 3 week late. This is a substantial amount of money I couldn’t afford to lose. No sympathy or partial refund, just stole the whole amount. If I did this at work I would have a court case against me for theft. Do not use this company. Even a simple communication like your coming to end of the voucher would have be ok. I’m sure they quietly sit and wait to steal as much money as possible. Would have spent the money back with them once healed but obviously won’t now. Disgusting behaviour.
What an amazing team in a beautiful location In 10 days over 3 weeks, they took me from no idea to being able to fly..........yes FLY On day one they were able to get me in the air by myself, from the top of the downs to bottom on multiple flights, 7 total I believe Everyone that works at Fly Sussex has been incredibly patient with me, i was repeatedly making the same mistakes, again and again to start with Each of the instructors I have met have been amazing and beyond helpful, their own flying abilities allow them to give you clear instructions and to look and see what you are doing wrong and help you correct it quickly They took me out on a tandem flight on the 3rd day, feeling what a paraglider is capable in the hands of a professional is something else and made me even more determined to learn By the end of day 9 they had got me through all the tasks for the EP and CP and I had sat the tests and passed them thanks to their videos, examples and explanations Now I am able to join clubs, meet new people, get more knowledge and fly I can't thank them enough, the experience has been life changing and the knowledge they have given me will last a life time of flying So now as they say the sky is the limit
I bought a voucher for a paraglide on a bit of an impulse after Christmas 2022, fast forward to 2023 and I just found the email voucher. I contacted the company and they said that the booking only lasts 9 - months and so that's it money lost. Very disappointing. Checking with consumer support to see if this is legal.
I would say one of the best experiences of my life. Amazing knowledgeable team, great equipment, great offers and amazing team. Loved seeing my partner grow with confidence installed by the team. If you want to fly definitely recommend these guys was more then worth the cost and the travel for us
My son is a 1st year student and having booked a flying lesson asked nicely to cancel and a refund (after 30 days) as he realised he could not afford the money. He received an email back saying that the refund policy was only up to 14 days so no. That was plain mean and to be honest you should have shown a little kindness.
I first made an email enquiry about a product that was in the Fly Sussex online shop. Jess replied very quickly and concisely answering my question, this made my mind up to go ahead and purchase a RAB down jacket from them. Jess kept me informed throughout the buying experience and I was very pleased when the item was delivered - the hand written note on the companies compliment slip was a lovely gesture in todays faceless online shopping world. I would be more than happy to recommend the company to deal with.
