What customers mention most
This is an extremely deceptive and exploitative company. When you make an online purchase, it is presented as though you’ve selected a simple, interest-free repayment over three months. In reality, the system appears designed to push you into a longer, more expensive repayment plan — and this is deliberately obscured at the point of purchase. By the time you realise what’s happened, payments have already started and there is no straightforward way to correct it. Customer service is effectively non-existent. It is nearly impossible to speak to a real person, leaving you stuck trying to resolve serious financial issues through an unhelpful and frustrating interface. There are also troubling inconsistencies between the interest rates shown in the app and those listed on official statements. This lack of transparency is unacceptable, particularly for a financial service where accuracy and clarity are essential. The app itself seems intentionally confusing, making it difficult to understand what you’ve agreed to, what you owe, and on what terms. Taken together, this creates a system where users are misled, locked in, and left without meaningful support. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company altogether.
Simple to use
Terrrible Customer Service. I received an email that made no sense about my account, never in arrears and a small balance. Contacted Customer Service to see what that was all about and I had the most condescending conversation I've ever had with any customer service agent. Paid the balance £63.11 and closed the account. I'll spend my money elsewhere going forward.
Wow interesting to read a number of bad reviews here and I should have checked before using this card. This company really should be investigated. How can they get away with dodgy interest scam. You purchase a £35 and because you think its easy to use the method to pay and plan to pay back immediately. You then realise they have automatically spread £35 payment over 3 years or so and monthly payment of 0.65p every month and full payment would have incurred significant interest. This is not £29% APR as they claimed
Was confused about how the instalment plans work, but spoke to someone called whatever snd they cleared it all up for me and a few other things. Great service.
Absolutely disgusting, wanted to pay the debt in full early but they have charged me full interest for 36 months, never use again.
I have had a Frasers Plus account for more than a year. Great for spreading the cost for shopping from Sports Direct, Flannels. It lets me change my plan and reduce payments when I want. Up front about interest info if I change payment plan. Payments are flexible even on direct debit.
Horrific company, took over studios and now I'm going to be in debt for over 3 years. Interest rates are there to cripple people. Thanks for telling me how to use your awful website however I'm well aware. The difference is before I could pay off more in one go to make it cheaper in the long run, you only have 3 options and we as customers have to stick to it so you can make sure you get at least an extra grand or two. I've not ordered in years yet the amount has trippled. Crippling families for what?. Awful company as stated but nice trying to get out of it. Jobsworths
I'd give it lower if I could, I've paid off my plans but yet they're still taking interest of me. I want to pay whatever they're saying I owe in full and can't seem to do that either, it's like they make it difficult so you end up paying a lot more than you actually need to be. And customer service is none existent, once I've eventually sorted this I won't be using it again.
One of the worst app and website i have checked since birth of internet. I wanted to create fraserplus account. The app simply doesn't respond. Seems it is built by rookies and released without checking if basic functionalities are working. Very pathetic experience
Changing from Studio Pay was the worst thing ever. The Frasers Plus app can be like fort knox to get into sometimes. Customer service is hard to communicate with and since having the app I've been able to order maybe a few times. The app keeps declining my orders. They had fixed the order issue back in Oct but it didn't last long. Be glad to pay off the little I owe. I'm in no rush. Like FP are in no rush to sort out any issues
Bought a top from Sports Direct for £90 and realised theyve added £41 interest if you pay in 3 month istalments which nothing was mentioned, avoid this company at all costs
Since Studio switched to Frasers plus my bill has doubled because of interest charges. Can't pay more than what they ask for so Can't clear the debt quicker. I'm now having problems trying to make a payment with my debit card, I keep getting a message saying payment unsuccessful. I have be trying for several days now. Its worked perfectly in the past, no issues. My card is working on other sites but not Frasers. VERY FRUSTRATING!! Can't wait to clear my debt. Will never shop with Frasers.
Paid my bill in full, but insist on demanding payment. Beware of this company, they charge extortionate interest and threaten you even when you have paid and have the proof!
So I'd had a studio account for years, always great service and completely able to understand how much I owed, then bang along comes Frazer plus and everything is totally a shambles, having to deal via email is difficult especially when you have to wait for the accounts department to pick up the email, so I had an agreement for payments to be made in order to pay off and close the account, come today to pay last but one payment and totally shocked by the interest on the account, made today's payment and received confirmation so I emailed them to query this and now it's a waiting game, then out of the blue I get an email telling me I need to make today's payment even though they had already notified me that I'd paid. Can't wait to have this paid off and closed, would definitely not recommend this horrendous company to anyone and avoid.
