So Glasgow council won’t make a Fan Zone happen for a local team that that win the League: 1. On one hand, I don’t blame them for not wanting a bunch of Morons destroying an area of the City because they are so self entitled that they think Urinating in a public place , littering, setting off flares , challenging Police and others , acting in a threatening manner, causing a public disturbance is OK and it is their right to do so because their Team won the League 2. On the other hand it is typical Negative Council Behaviour - stating that they can’t afford it and are unwilling to engage in further debate about it Part of me says A. It is a Council run Public place that these Morons will gather in anyway so you might as we make it Official B. Staff are available and paid by the Council to do Council work ( although I am well aware that they spend the vast majority of their day 1. sitting in a van 2. Queueing at Greggs 3. Trying to find ways not to to work and still get paid ) C. Council staff are left to clean up the mess these Morons make anyway ! What is the problem with the Clubs using their own Stadium ? - they have Bars /Food / Toilets / A huge Stand and Pitch and if they want they can act like the self entitled Morons that they are and leave the rest of us to enjoy our City and our day ????
I have been a proud Glaswegian for just short of 70 years. I am now embarrassed by the state of it thanks to the city council and planners. Absolutely no thought has gone into throwing up bus lanes, useless cycle paths, road closures, pedestrianised precincts. There is so much money wasted. I give for example travelling along Ingram Street then having to mandatory turn right north into Queen Street, the idiots have made it a bus gate. Where are we supposed to go...I did this today on a motorcycle and if I get a fine I will take the council to court. Next travelling along st. Vincent place, you can't turn left down mitchell street. No entry signs, even deliveroo and their foreign nationals decided to ignore this sign as well as other range rover drivers so going along further I turned down union Street. No throughroad cause of big fire, mandatory left turn into drury Street eastwards to mitchell Street where signage says no left turn you have to turn right and go down the road the wrong way...this is a joke...turning mandatory left onto argyle Street one way then along and back up queen street a one way street. To Ingram Street.......this is another ill thought out junction. No right turn and bus gait straight ahead. By right you shouldn't be able to go ANYWHERE. council members and road planners, just RESIGN
Tortilla siverburn. refuse to heat up samosa for kid.
I'm a regular in the store I would just like to say I've never seen such horrible staff who work in this shop except a nice young lad and someone else. There is a older man called Milton who shouted at me in the shop for nothing his manners has a lot to be desired. The staff r so miserable inc the manager I give it 1 star
Well done Kevin the hospitality guy in the restaurant made our stay and never stopped
From start to finish I had a lovely experience with Wren. From Graig the kitchen planner Jamie and his team all done a fantastic job from instalation of the kitchen to all new appliances floor walls lighting all rubbish removed. I am absolutely delighted with my new kitchen and could not have wished for a better service. When spending so much money it is vital you are 100% certain it is a company you can trust And i 100% recommend wren (Glasgow)
Filled out request for my old tumble drier to be taken away, at a cost of £5 Website said could take up to 28 days 3 days later received notification that item would be removed 2 days later and advised to leave out night before Picked up 0900 next day Delighted with this service, as though I use the local Recycle centre a few times a year, this item was too heavy and big to load or put in my car.
Still awaiting a response for complaint regarding bins being missed for ten weeks. Unreliable, poor service, costs a fortune. Pay for brown bin permit for it to lay uncollected.
Just requested a bulk uplift of a 3 seater and 2 seater settee. Paid the appropriate fee and was emailed the date to leave the settee out for collection. Workers have just come and uplifted the items. No issues, great service and at a time when people are happy to complain, it’s appropriate to praise the council. Well done 👌
They just ignore you as simple as that for a local authority it's a disgrace.
I received training from Mr. Billy Fowler, he was efficient regarding CPC MODULE tuition. Kept the class ,very. much at ease, very informative on what he was teaching, a pleasure to be in the class.
This is the worst city iv ever been it is awful everywhere in city center u can smell Indian food 🤣 a lot of junkies on main streets it’s better to stay at home than going to Glasgow and they got LEZ what is the funniest thing sort the Indian smell becouse I was close to pug myself when I was in city center awful place don’t bother to go to this city becouse you will be frustrated
Avoid springburn if hiring from them, the pound you pay in deposit is a license for them to get your bank details, that part I understand, now , I had my mobility car in a company get repaired, non fault, they refuelled the car, £27, I didn’t mind that part, now for the best part, £27.54 for fuel top up, vat £7.18 and fuelledadmin £8.33, , £42.05 taken from my account, so remember when taking your hire back, to keep your receipts and take pics of your dash miles, I’ll know better the next time, beware beware beware of these hire companies, I’ve changed all my bank details since then , incase they come up with anymore reasons, apart from that they do have nice cars,
Contacted the council several times now to uplift waste on the street across the road from me and three time I've had an update saying job is complete, two said they were unable to uplift as it's no longer there or on private land (it's on the pavement). Raised a complaint on Monday 11th August 25 and have heard nothing. This has been on going since 30th July. This isn't the only time this has happened, sick of paying council tax and getting nothing in return. Spending money on unnecessary stuff like George square and bike lanes (barely seen a cyclist on them), when there are far more important issues and they claim they have no money.
Why, are the councillors within Glasgow City Council not being taken to task by the electorate ? I’m ashamed to call myself Glaswegian, especially when I passed the famous Rennie Macintosh Scotland Street School today, which can only be described as looking very sad and derelict” mainly due to the works being halted and the property left neglected! The building adjacent to the school is also in a bad state of disrepair, making the area look like a city slum ! That coupled with Pollock House remaining closed to the public and no doubt along with many more public buildings ! I fail to understand why the good people of Glasgow are permitting this shower of numpties within our City Chambers, to run our once beautiful city into the ground, it’s shocking to see other cities less affluent than Glasgow, projecting a better image to their visitors! I shudder to think what our visitors make of this slum image that Glasgow now projects. What are these numpties doing with our excessive council taxes, apart from lining their own pockets and lucrative pension funds, it’s time the good people of Glasgow made a stance and tell the Councillors “ ENOUGH IS ENOUGH “ and take these parasites to task !
