All Councils in Scotland the Recruitment Selection Process is very Racist

All Councils in Scotland the Recruitment Selection Process is very Racist It’s not about your experience, it’s about your DNA and your racial background Don’t apply if you’re from an Ethnic Monitory Background Most Recruiters in Scotland are Racist anyway except the Bus Companies operating in Glasgow where anyone can see diversity exists. All Councils use Fake Application Form Information , Not a single Council in Scotland is committed to Equality and Diversity ! I can only comment on the recruitment process based on what I have experienced for having applied for many jobs and having all the experience to be offered a basic entry level position but continuously being rejected.

Glasgow City Council disappointing.

Glasgow City Council: Uncontactable, uncommunicative, corrupt, useless. GCC don't even take formal complaints against them seriously. Instead they refer you to the ombudsman who also take no action against them. Elected Councillors are also of no help. Locals all seem resigned to this terrible service.

No parking permit renewal reminder

Absolute scammers. No reminder or warning whatsoever to renew parking permit and then it takes ages to arrive. Out to get people rather than helping them out. What a disgrace

Worst council possible

Having lived in about 10 council areas over the years, all of which had their own problems, truly Glasgow council is the absolute hands down worst by a country mile. In two different addresses (west end and southside) bins weren't collected for months and even emails to the CEO proved pointless despite visible huge rats running around the bins! All parking, around a park opposite the road that people want to visit, has currently been removed from my current address due to the addition of cycling lanes that aren't being used. Parking currently suspended on the crescent outside my flat for two weeks and counting (was meant to be one week with 2 days notice given). Now discovered I'm the proud owner of two parking tickets given because apparently Rangers are now playing at Hampden with zero notice given to residents who currently can't park anywhere near their own property. Have appealed and will take it to the ombudsman if necessary. Delighted to be leaving the Glasgow city council boundaries soon and escaping the worst council ever. You only have to look around the streets and parks of Glasgow, and how dirty it has become in the last few years to see the council's failures. The highly paid leaders of this outfit should hang their heads in shame for ruining this beautiful city.

Glasgow for 3 years, there is something for everyone

Having lived in Glasgow for 3 years. This city has a mix of good and bad, with the good superseding the bad. The city is rich in history from the ship building industry, to galleries like the Kelvin Grove, Burrell collection and Huntarian museum. The city centre is a hub of high end stores, bars and nightclubs for the city goers, whilst the west end, populated with the famous victorian tenements that have large bay windows, high ceilings and show the history the scottish architecture. The west end has great restaurants and parks to explore. The south side is the new and upcoming area with a influx of young students and families who want good coffee, food and bars. Finally, the city is some of the best universities in Scotland, forging ahead in engineering, finance, arts and biomedical field. The city is close to the highlands and has great accessibility to north and south. In summary, there is something for everyone in Glasgow, the city comes from a rough past but is full of friendly people who strive to make it a wonderful place to live. I mentioned no bad as the bad stuff you find here, you will find in every other city in the world, but the unique places and experiences of Glasgow are unique and so its worth a visit or even a couple years of residency. Although, I do wish we had a bit less rain and a bit more sun shine.

Be warned

Be warned. If your hotel is in the new green low emission zone, you cannot drive to your hotel unless you are in an EV or PEHV. £60 fine just for dropping your bags at your hotel. Not a tourist friendly city.

Trying to appeal a parking penalty…

Trying to appeal a parking penalty charge notice. The system is impossible. Had to appeal online. Need to speak to someone but the phone lines are only available Tuesday and Thursday between 10am and 4pm except there is no-one to speak to from Parking. The call handler did inform me though that there is no courtesy time to leave your car to get change for the meter so I asked how do I get the policy that states this. Go to the main page of GCC and select contact us, then make a complaint. There is more than one main page it seems. I did manage to navigate to find Contact Us however I did find it through Parking and clicking several pages but when I chose Contact Us it took me to page not found. So not only does Glasgow City Council have limited availability call handlers with no-one available for specific departments (I'm assuming this isn't just parking), but there website doesn't fully function. I notice though they can take payment no bother at all. I don't blame the staff at all for this absolutely awful dysfunctional system they have to work in. Stressful for everyone.

Chisholm Hunter, Glasgow. I recently had the pleasure of speaking…

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Rachel Marshall from Chisholm Hunter jewellers in Argyle Arcade, Glasgow, and I must say that my experience with her was absolutely outstanding. Her exceptional customer service skills and extensive knowledge of Tag Heuer watches left a lasting impression on me. My first interaction with Rachel was over the phone, and right from the start, she displayed a level of professionalism and enthusiasm that was truly impressive. She took the time to listen attentively to my needs and preferences, asking detailed questions to understand exactly what I was looking for. Rachel's knowledge of the Tag Heuer brand and their range of watches was truly remarkable. Impressed by Rachel's helpfulness and knowledge, I decided to visit the Chisholm Hunter store in person that same day. Upon my arrival, Rachel greeted my partner and I with a warm and friendly smile and a wee refreshment. She made my partner and I feel welcomed and comfortable, as if we were valued customers from the moment we stepped through the door. Thanks to Rachel's guidance and expertise, I was able to find the perfect Tag Heuer watch that met all of our requirements. Her personalised approach and genuine interest in helping us make the right choice made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. I bought the ladies watch for my partner Louise. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Rachel Marshall from Chisholm Hunter jewellers in Argyle Arcade, Glasgow, enough. Her impressive knowledge, outstanding customer service, personality and genuine passion for helping customers find the perfect Tag Heuer watch make her an invaluable asset to the store. If you're in search of a memorable and successful watch-buying experience, Rachel is the person to turn to. John Sallens 20/04/2024

I took my mother in for breakfast today…

I took my mother in for breakfast today , £17.95 each . I’m vegan , the choices were very limited . The vegan sausages are not great and you have to wait another ten mins to get them cooked separately as they don’t put them with buffet . The mushrooms tasted rotten , beans thick and dry , the potato scones were also rotten , cheap & nasty ones you would get in a cheap greasy spoon . Total waste of money and shocking quality as well as limited vegan choices .

The absolute DUMP of the UK!!!

The absolute DUMP of the UK!!!! Honestly, I’ve never been to a more disgusting city in my life… the place is a genuine dump! As of 2023 they have now had the nerve to introduce a low emission zone… IN GLASGOW!!!…. It’s honestly the only place that would look better with much much more smog! Disgusting, dirty, awful council, I genuinely would sooner spend a week in jail than a week in Glasgow, you’d certainly leave cleaner…. Never, ever again will I go to Glasgow again! 1 star is 3/4 of a star more than it deserves… my advice - visit any of the beautiful places in Scotland and avoid Glasgow like the AIDS!!!
