On 30 April 2024, Andrew and Ethan visited us, on time, by appointment to shorten/prune a boundary, tall, white birch and thin it out. I would estimate the tree at about 100 years old. They did excellent, professional work, carefully describing what they would do beforehand! The result was a balanced tree that should last another 100 years! They took all the debris away and tidied up completely. (Well done! We have already booked for an Autumn tree/shrub/hedge tidy up.) Bill of Kingknowe
Dealing with Andrew (the owner) has been great, from my initial contact for a quote (which was very competitive) to the work being carried out, everything was very professional, him and his team are knowledgeable, friendly and hard working making sure everything was cleared up properly after they had finished their excellent work. Very helpful, quick response to my enquiry about unexpected damage to our cherry tree. Andrew came out the same day and was very clear about our options and cost. I have used Heartwood tree care for a few years now. I have always found that they are prompt and do an excellent job. Andrew is very knowledgeable and gives good advice about the best way to prune and maintain your trees and neighbours have commented about the good they look after their treatment.
A while back I watched the Heartwood guys do a fantastic job next door reducing a whole driveway of trees. Two days ago they did the same on my drive reducing a large tree stump to ground level. Five stars all round, I would certainly recommend them to others. Seymour Matthews

Just had Andrew & his team clear our garden of a overgrown tree and removing many stumps. Very happy to report that we had no concerns at all during the works and witnessed good teamwork and diligence. At all times were health and safety measures applied on site and when pedestrians walking past. No time wasters in evidence! Well done guys; you are worth the 5 stars and more! Andrew and his team are friendly, with expert knowledge and are happy to advise. They work quickly, neatly and make sure to do a thorough tidy up afterwards. They’ve trimmed our hedges and taken the dead branches off our apple tree. We’ll continue to use them for all our big garden jobs.
Andrew replied to my initial request very quickly,coming out to survey and made an appointment soon after.The only wee problem happened on the day the job was to take place,the boys were a little late but once onsite they bashed on very quickly and efficiently cleaning up the site on completion.I would not hesitate to reccomend this company
Highly recommend Heartwood tree care. Very professional and knowledgeable when Andrew came out to do the quote. The 2 that came to do the work were excellent at both trimming and made sure all was tidied up after them. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.
Andrew and his team were absolutely fantastic, meticulously taking down our huge 230 year old tree that precariously hung over our home. From our first contact Andrew was totally professional but in a very relaxed friendly way. Chatting with Andrew at times it was more like meeting a mate in the pub but given what he was doing at no time was I concerned. You know your working with a professional when he checks every time arriving on site asking "are you happy with things?". Andrew is a man of action getting up the tree himself whilst safely directing his expert team on the ground. As I've previously found to my cost the tree surgery business has some dangerous cowboys and Heartwood Tree Care Ltd are 100% professional! I certainly will use Andrew again for any tree care.
