I made a purchase on 4/15. One item was out of stock. Ikea is being very diificult with the refund. They are saying that the refund will not go back on the original card of purchase. Checked with my bank, they see no refund attempts at all. I have contacted them 5 times, was given a new issue # on 5th call!! There are no supervisors available, no address to write to.
Subpar quality bedsheets, completely lost all colour in 2 washes.

Extremely disappointing experience with the delivery and customer service in the Netherlands. I placed two different orders and both deliveries turned into a frustrating and stressful experience. For the second order, I specifically selected and paid for a delivery slot between 08:00 and 13:00 because I organized my entire day around that schedule. Later, without my agreement, the company unilaterally changed the delivery window to 16:00–21:00. I first contacted customer support through the chat, but the chat agent said they had no authority to handle the issue and told me I had to call the phone support line instead. I called multiple times, waited long periods on the phone, and every single time the attitude was basically the same: - either accept the new delivery window; - move the delivery to another date that works for the company, not for the customer; - or cancel the order. That was essentially the “solution” offered after paying expensive delivery fees for scheduled delivery service. When I explained that this is not the level of customer service people would reasonably expect, especially in the Netherlands, the response was basically: “that is how it works here,” and “if you want to file a complaint with consumer protection organizations or public channels, feel free to do so.” The problems did not stop there. Another delivery arrived extremely late, close to 20:00, and the delivery team simply abandoned multiple large furniture packages and parts in the shared hallway near the elevator instead of properly delivering everything inside the apartment. Several packages were already open, poorly packed, or damaged. I have photos documenting the situation. Because of the late arrival and the way the items were left, I had to move everything myself through the emergency staircase without any assistance, despite having paid a very expensive delivery fee. What is most shocking is not only the poor logistics, but the complete lack of accountability and willingness to help from customer service. The entire support process felt like customers are simply expected to accept whatever happens. This level of service is honestly far below what I expected from a company operating in the Netherlands. I placed my order on Monday specifically because I was promised "next-day delivery." I chose this timing because I was off for two days and would be home. However, my order was not delivered until Thursday! I have a son with autism, and while I was in the middle of a difficult moment with him, your driver called me.I couldn’t answer ! And I call back him I informed him that I would be home within 3 minutes. Despite my multiple previous attempts to reach him (which went unanswered), he had the audacity to threaten to leave my packages on the street as if the delay was my fault! Already stressed by my domestic situation, I asked him to repeat the rude comments he made over the phone while I recorded with my camera; unsurprisingly, he refused and continued his abrasive behavior. He provoked me and then tried to back away once confronted. I want to "thank" your driver for making an already challenging day significantly harder. Please continue working with such rude and untrained individuals no more IKEA !
One of the worst retailers in New Zealand the orders are not even delivered after 3 weeks of waiting, Had to follow up with chat team numerous times but the chat bot made going in circles million times, when finally got to hold a HUMAN, they rang courier company and the answer was we can not alcoate your parcel at, what the heck you have been doing last 3 weeks then???? The customer service team is so slow no point having chat team when there is no information with them, there was no head up if the order was delayed what so ever..... pathetic
I waited till I retired purchase a new kitchen. We decided on a Ikea kitchen after a lot of research. We put togethera beautiful design for our mid- century home. Okay this is the problem, everything in kitchen has a exact place. We purchased a microwave to fit exactly into a cabinet, which was designed by the Ikea employee. paid $629.10 for the microwave 7 years ago, we used it mainly to tea or coffee 5 or 6 times a week. The microwave is not working, and the size of that microwave no longer is available in that size. 24 inch by 18 inch. I spoke to Ikea personal on 5 different occasion of which I was told " sorry you're out of luck ". My problem is why design a kitchen when you can't support. Now I have a kitchen with a hole in it, with no replacement for it. My recommendation is not to buy a Ikea kitchen!
Incredibly bad customer service, impossible to reach them, and impossible to amend yourself an order of kitchen. NEVER ORDER AN IKEA KITCHEN
If I could give 0 stars I would. I had designed and purchased an Ikea kitchen and used the recommended kitchen fitters. Work started on 10th February 2026 and as of May 12th it is still not completed. Ikea repeatedly send the wrong items for the fitters to use or don’t send them at all. Calling the kitchen department means at least a 50 minute wait to speak to an advisor. My emails are never responded to. Absolutely terrible customer service. They were very helpful until they had received their money. The delivery service was shocking. The product knowledge of the kitchen service department is very bad. I fully regret spending £15,000 + on an incomplete kitchen.

unwilling to fix missing delivery items and incomplete installation. On April 1 my Kitchen in Spain was to be installed. However, parts were missing and some parts were damaged. The installation company told me to take pictures and send it to Ikea same day. he would end his installation report also the same day. Ever since april 1, I have asking when the kitchen will be fixed. A lot of promises, being shoved from Benidorm to Murcia and from store to customer service to after sales, all to no avail. I am told the report of the installation company was not received. After admitting it was received but not read they told me the report on damaged goods was not included and therefor my claim (and pictures!) need to be verified because they do not believe me. After some time I got a message that I needed to pay € x before midnight otherwise they would not even think about ordering the missing or damaged goods nor would they reschedule a new date. I asked what I had to pay for, did pay to ensure my claim w going to be followed up and asked for an invoice which 4 weeks later and 6 apologies later still is not send. So either after sales is running a blackmail operation or a side sales operation that Ikea headoffice doesn't know about. Also, I told the Benidorm office it must be sickening to them to keep telling me that they discussed internally and after sales will get back to me and that delivery should be scheduled on the 19th. The installation date still can't be confirmed because that takes apparently more than 6 weeks to set up. Customer service and after sales think it is appropriate not to inform me and think it is normal for the customer to keep asking week after week.
Male staff (Name: Lars) purposefully walking into female aggressively - directly into their path when they’re walking to an item and there’s an entire floor of empty space / nobody around so they could have just walked around then behaving like thugs - then getting rude, raising their voice across the store and shouting at females to calm down for expressing they didn’t appreciate being walked into and stared at by someone that behaves like they should be in a Netflix documentary is disturbing for ikea. No apology in sight. Terrible experience, the incident is on camera and a formal complaint has been made. Telling women to “calm down” repeatedly and refusing to move away from them is misogyny at its finest. I have no doubt that behaving so aggressively so openly will not be an isolated incident and you’ll show your colours again soon. Hopefully Ikea see sense and remove someone like you from their family store asap. And just an FYI when you are abusive to women they don’t have to be meak and polite back. This is not gilead. Good news is I’ll have the cctv to share online soon though Lars ;)
I bought mattress with 10 years warranty but after significant sagging and sending multiple videos and pics no one is ready to take responsibility
