We ordered the Rocky based on quality & performance reviews. When we used it we were concerned about a noise it made. Hufford sent us a new one within a few days. Out of the box, the second one had a long scratch and a grind adjustment latch that seemed to "catch" when depressing it to change settings. Again, Hufford immediately sent us a return tag and we had the new one in 3 days. To ensure that the third one didn't arrive with issues, we asked Hufford to break the factory seal and inspect it before shipping. Although this seemed to be an unusual request, they were more than willing to have their certified technician do so. Some retailers would have written us off as "too fussy" or have complied very grudgingly with our requests for replacement. Hufford did neither. They couldn't have been more clear that they wanted us to have a great buying experience. End Result: We now have the grinder we had hoped for and are happily enjoying great quality coffee.
Terrible slow shipping! Shipping sat in Ocala, Florida for three days to arrive in Tampa, Florida! The slowest ship I have ever experienced! What a Joke!

J.L. Hufford is one of the finest places to order from on the internet. Beginning either 2 or 3 years ago, I started collecting some All-Clad Pans and they had great prices. Being in Chicago their free shipping often arrives within a day or two. Recently I ordered a Technovorm coffee pot and it arrived the following day. My only complaint is that my credit card never goes though due to an issue with my mailing address. so then I have to call, but they always have very friendly and helpful folks to finish the order. Bought a refurbished Jura C60, received fast and works and looks like new. Great seller, second Jura I bought from JL Hufford, bought the first one over 10 years ago.
Ordered up an Ascaso I-2 Mini coffee grinder on Monday. On Friday I receive an email telling me there's a "problem" with my credit card, to call the company. I do so, get no clarity on the "problem" with my credit card, the same one I used a couple of weeks earlier to order a Rancilio espresso machine from the same outfit, am told that this is some sort of security check because "we're a small company"(?), and to submit my credit card # again. I call up my credit card company to see if they know what's going on. They don't, telling me there's no problem with the account from their end. Having received no update, I call Hufford again on Monday. I'm told the card "seems" to have gone through this time , still no explanation for the delay, just again something about "since we're a small company". No further contact until a week later when I find a UPS paper in my mailbox with instructions on picking up my parcel. Despite letting my order mysteriously hang in suspension for a week, J. L. Hufford felt no inspiration to expedite the shipping, and I finally got my grinder over 2 weeks after having ordered it.
At the beginning I was a little hesitant because I had never bought here, but I took a shot because they accepted PayPal and I felt safe I wasn't compromising my credit card number. Everything arrived as expected. Great customer support. Items arrived faster than expected. I will definitely buy again here.
New Rancilio came two days after placing an order. Not bad for a "free shipping". Ordered couple accessories. All came fast and in good shape. What to wish for more?
