I originally booked a shared bus to my hotel in Punta Cana but when I arrived at the Nexus desk, they upgraded me to private transportation (both ways). What an incredible experience! We did not have to wait for other passengers (as you do with shared transportation) and quickly got to our destination. I will always use private transportation in the future - this is the best way to go!

The nexus rep was at the resort the day after we arrived and never seen them again. We had issues with the hotel and no one was there to help us so we had to continuously go to the front desk to try and get our room issues resolved. 3.5 days with no hot water is not acceptable
My flight reservation changed and I informed the hotel and they called Nexus and was told by Michael my transportation was changed to an earlier pickup and it was not changed resulting in me having to pay $80 to get to the airport.

We were left at the airport in Cancun. When we spoke with the Nexus representative at the hotel we were told they would try and do a better job next time. Don’t offer to help with the $300 ride to the resort.

First of all, I would like to say that we are experienced travellers, being to Mexico 11 times. This was our worst Nexus transfer ever. After arriving in Cancun, we went to the Nexus Line-up. They directed us to the buses/transport area. After talking to a Nexus rep, he told us that our bus had left. He said he would go see if he could find another. After waiting 1.5 hours and talking to several Nexus reps, they all grabbed their backpacks and left as their shift was over (10pm). The new Nexus rep told us that he had no clue when another bus for us to transfer would be there to get us - it could be up to 5 hours. We decided to get a cab, which cost us $98 for a 15 minute can ride.
Our ride was on time and very polite, the excursion was absolutely amazing! The guys who took us out on the ATVs and the waver runners were great!
We were a group of six people, and I know it was shared transport, but taking 2 1/2 hours to get to Cancun side of playa del Carmen is ridiculous. Put us with 2 other couples in the van, but 2 different resorts that were both 40 minutes drive off the highway. No way in hell that I'm going through that again on the way home, we have booked our own private transport with someone else and nexus can sit and wait for us when we don't show up for our pick up.
2nd of May, Cancun airport to Riviera Maya Tropical: transport left without us (200usd by taxi) Nexus never refund. Nexus repp at Tropical ressort very unpolluted. 16 of May, Tropical ressort return to Cancun airport, no repp present, received info by email. No places, we stayed near driver, front side, no comfort atall. 2 star is very generous.
