Booked train tickets from Switzerland to Germany online the other day. The process was straight forward and easy to do. I have done this trip several times before and have an idea of pricing. Rail Europe is price competative and the tickets were available very quickly. I have downloaded their app and will use them in future. Can recommend them. How about introducing loyalty points to reward returning customers Rail Europe? 😃

We booked eurorail 1st class seat reservations on iPhone. We could not pick our seats as we had at home, they were assigned (1 single seat and 1 seat an aisle ? I thought it was because the carriage was full. The carriage was not full. Why was seat selection NOT available??
We arrived at the train station in Oulx ready for trip back to uk. Out train was cancelled as we waited on the platform, so we bought another set of tickets for the next train to get to our connection in Paris on time. Spent hours filling in forms sending emails to the train company and Rail Europe in order to get the costs of the cancelled train refunded without success. Not sure how Rail Eorope can take payment for a train that doesn’t run, but they managed in this case.

The difference of 4 versus 5 stars is that incredibly frustrating & unhelpful mechanism of not telling you when you have made a mistake, but refusing to go forward because you have made a mistake. The typical case is that you omit some data point then are returned to the area where the omission is, but you have to guess what is wrong. Bad enough -- but then -- once you find the unnamed error, you have to scroll through all the previously typed correct information. Folks: The computer is designed to make things more efficient -- not less efficient...by design.
It was my 1st time with your site…I wanted 1st class but ended with economy or couch!!!!! I wanted 1st to Upgrade how do I do that!

It worked okay. I wanted to book first class tickets, but didn't see how. The only way I saw to print the ticket with the QR code was to print an email, which reduced the size to a very small level.
