I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED IN TEMU. It was only my 2nd time using your platform. What a disaster. I ordered items that said they would take about 3 days ( so there was according to me no reorder to be arranged which would delay delivery) which didn't arrive even after the maximum delivery time 23 April. I needed my items for the 14th and contacted Temu then to cancel BEFORE THEY WERE SENT TO SHIPPING (according to tracking my order). My order had STILL not been delivered by the 28 April although tracking indicated that it was in customs and then delivered to the courier in South Africa. I then got an update " that items could be lost". From start to finish I felt I was being misled and actually wondered if I had been scammed by a fake Temu set up. When I received my refund in my bank account I was very thankful to know my purchase had been legitimate. But my trust in Temu has been compromised. I also feel that "you set out to trick into selling your items" with your free gifts and credits ( apparently no expiration date), R1 deals etc offers. Nothing is transparent!! I selected so called free gifts and yes I'm aware you have to spend a certain amount afterwards but I never seemed to reach the determined amount - I always had to buy more and eventually I gave up ( it felt like gambling). I'm going to cancel notifications from Temu as just seem to be false advertising and a " fish net for for unsuspecting consumers to spend more". And then your so called " thank you for your purchase" by giving your purchase amount back in credits - pathetic!! I could go on but will be here utilising time that will probably "fall on deaf ears" anyway. My previous purchase ( my first one) I felt duped as I actually ended up paying more for the items ( by using the free gift scenario) than in a South African shop..which defeats the whole draw card and positive experience of the enticing on line purchase store. I used Takealot in SA since before Temu became available to us and still do. Takealot was and still is fantastic! It is transparent; there is no incessant luring the consumer with free gifts, false promises, so called credits...just plain and simple excellent service in all respects that an online consumer would expect. They are trustworthy. I cannot with even 50% conviction say this about Temu. You could learn alot from an internationally unknown online platform. I plan to try out Shein next ... as I have heard very positve reviews and in fact some prefer it to Temu because delivery is quicker ( I thought the opposite before this awful experience). Also please stop with this effectively " gambling advertising and ensnaring" consumers into purchases! I get irritated and bored with the spinning 3 or 4 times when you know it will end up on the most beneficial "prize" on the wheel EVERYTIME. IT ALSO WASTES PRECIOUS TIME WHICH NORMAL CONSUMERS, CONTRARY TO GAMBLERS DON'T HAVE! We just want to shop ( alot and as quickly as possible) and get fabulous service. Anyway enough said although I could go on. If I have misunderstood Temu then perhaps produce an ebook 'Temu for dummies' so consumers don't end up irritated and angry with the whole Temu purchase experience. I guess the statements ( not complimentary by the way if properly understood) like " nothing is given for free" or " no such thing as a free lunch" (in terms of economics) really are utilised to their full extent by Temu!
Temu is the worst, Please save your money and shop from reputable companies. I ordered some items for my salon I'm a hairdresser. I have a delivery picture of the cheaper items were left in front of a PO Box at my post office in which ANYONE COULD HAVE PICKED THE ITEMS UP! Which made no sense! (unless they stole the items) Requested a refund from Temu, which will arrive in 2 weeks)Gee they steal , I mean take the money out immediately!The tool bag and stand are supposedly making their way thru customs and will arrive in JULY? I ordered these items in April 2026! I can't get a refund until they are supposedly delivered! This is a real experience folks, I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered from these thieves! You've been warned!
STAY AWAY! TOTAL SCAM IN UAE! Order ID: PO-209-05914108357752012. Delivered an empty box instead of a Tablet. I provided full continuous unboxing video proof immediately. They kept systematically canceling my return requests for a whole month. I had to personally call the courier and return the package myself. Now after 4 months and 8 tickets, they fraudulently denied my 141.57 AED refund. Shady business practices under WhaleCo/PDD Holdings. Legal complaint sent to Dubai DED!
Not only did they constantly say they were working on the issue of not being about to cancel an order minutes after ordering because it was " shipped " Then the send me obviously fake escalation emails. Then they send you rating emails that take you back to their site not where you can leave a review. They are just low end merchandise sent by a low quality company, staffed by low end people, who scams and then spams you.
Temu is the epitome of a scam~driven vendor. 1) prices I bought something for (supposedly one cent) & prices I’ve been charged are different (actual cost is several dollars). 2) what I did purchase is ok, not really bad, but certainly not great. 3) And this is where I start to get upset…I keep getting stuff delivered I never ordered, in fact had never even seen online, AND NOW I’M CHARGED FOR THEM! 4) my credit card holder gave me two phone numbers THAT WERE PROVIDED to Chase Bank BY THE MERCHANT! And THEY DO NOT WORK! 5) two more numbers were found by googling Temu customer service. One didn’t work AND ONE IS IN HAWAII AND I DID ACTUALLY GET A HUMAN!! Wow!! Progress ! But they wanted to FACETIME ME! Are you kidding!??! No legitimate business is going to do that! I hung up and before I could even block the number they called back 7 times in less than a 30 seconds. 6) SO frustrated! These sleazy operations cast a negative hue on all online vendors! 7) so save yourself a tremendous headache and a closetful of cheap Chinese crap you didn’t want. And get charged for! 8) no customer service whatsoever that I can find. 9) so now I have four phone numbers that either fail, or get you to Phishers who want to FaceTime!! Crazy! So DO NOT be tempted by low, low prices and frenzied marketing for the myriad products they offer. Which are, in many cases, shoddy, cheap imitations of a quality product one recognizes and feels confident in buying at ‘a great price’. The time-consuming hassles, and possibly even expenses associated with straightening out your fraudulent credit card charges, are real. Don’t fall prey to these predators. Please. If everyone who’s been scammed as I have raised this alarm, perhaps we all can band together to put an end to Temu’s disturbing practices. Amen & good luck!
I ordered 4 - 20in high Artificial Ivy privacy fence screen at $4.92 per roll …this = $19.68….they charged my pay pal $88.17???? what a total rip off SCAM!!! skimming from my credit card!!! on top of that when Im on the Temu App on my phone…they take over control of my phone and bring me to my iphone settings??? ..are they spying on me!!!! I want my $ back or Im contacting a lawyer and seeing if Canada has filed a Class Action Lawsuit yet? it only takes 2 people to form a class action. 1) for deceptive practises 2) for skimming extra funds from my credit card! 3) invasion of my personal & private data
Well they still are not doing anything they say. I told them I was going to keep on. They are horrible.
I ordered 2 boneless Sofas and it was the biggest mistake I made. I should have checked the reviews beforehand. The sofas took 6 weeks to arrive and they were delivered in compressed packages I opened the 2 package and the instructions was to leave them for 24 to 48 hours to reach optimal state. After 24 hours, There was a very strong smell oozing out from the 2 sofas. Once we sat on them, the smell became stronger, with choking smells and our throats started burning and my spacial need son who is asthmatic started making scratches sound with his throat and coughing. Because my son, who is nonverbal ran upstairs and to his room. Once he came back down to the living room and sat on the Temu chairs, he started coughing again and scratching his throat like an allergy reaction. My throat was burning a d my nostril stuffed up with breathing in the fibre from the materials and toxic smell. My son w carers on shift were also complaining of their throats burning. We had to put the chairs out on the morning the 3rd day. It made me very sick because I also suffer from asthma and have an autoimmune. Temu has been so unreasonable and have a nonchalant attitude. They are refusing to pock up their sofas and refund the £300 that I paid. They want me to look for a courier and return the sofas as big as the sofas are. They are not a good company to buy from. Some of their products are Toxic and people should be care buying any sofas from them I am still pursuing my refund and I want my money back and they need to come and remove their Toxic chairs from my home.
I joined the "Free Basket Mania" promotion on Temu. The promise: invite friends and get 5 free gifts (including a keyboard worth over 2500 UAH). I invited 13 existing users (max 15) and received only 1 cheap gift. The remaining 4 gifts (total value much higher) were never sent. The promotion rules said “invite 1 to 30 NEW users”, but the system allowed inviting existing ones and gave random coins (1-2 instead of promised up to 100). When I had 13/15 existing invites, I still needed 5 more coins – but only 2 invites left, which would give at most 2 coins. Impossible to finish. Support agent Mila admitted the rules are "not clear". After hours of chat, they offered a 20% coupon with a maximum discount of $20 (≈500 UAH). That’s nothing compared to the value of the missing gifts. Advice to others: Don’t waste your time on Temu’s “free gift” promotions. They are designed to be impossible to complete. You will only get a tiny coupon after exhausting your friends list.
What a scam, so i had advert pop up to day saying claim 6 free items, also shipping free so i thought ok, whilst i.picked my 6 free items it then said check out for ten pound i spent ten pound and only got 1 free item, if its too good to be true it probably is beware
I am disgusted with Temu. A couple of weeks ago, my wife burnt her hand on a saucepan when it melted went on the hob. My wife threw the items away and then a week later she spoke to Temu customer care. Four or five times they asked us for pictures we sent them pictures of her hand and told them exactly what happened and all we got was we need pictures of the pan and Hospital letters. When I clearly said to them, we did not go to the hospital. It wasn’t really badly burn and the pans were thrown straight in the bin after what had happened. Still they do nothing about it. Now we ordered a few items from Temu a couple of weeks later and when one of the items was faulty: i.e. salt and pepper would not close. Anyway, I asked them for a refund on the item. All the other items were okay. They have now refused that as well disgraceful.. Please be careful what you buy at this jumble sale a lot of the stuff is tatty and not worth buying.
Terrible customer service. They send the wrong products. I ordered 3 items. Two of them were not the products I ordered. The other item was a dress and the fabric was so cheap when I walked in the dress it sounded like stiff garbage bags. JUNK!!! Go to Goodwill, you will find better items.
