I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Carl, the engineer who came to inspect my car on Friday. From start to finish, the service provided was absolutely outstanding. Carl was extremely professional, respectful, and empathetic throughout the entire inspection process. What impressed me most was his incredible attention to detail and the care he took while inspecting the vehicle. It was clear that he takes great pride in his work and genuinely cares about providing an honest and thorough service. He explained everything clearly, carried out the inspection with great professionalism, and made me feel confident and reassured throughout. From the moment I contacted ACE I found them to be professional, thorough and responsive. They inspected my vehicle and produced a detailed independent report fully compliant with CPR Part 35, which has been invaluable in supporting our consumer rights claim. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I genuinely don’t understand the 1★ reviews for Ace Engineers… did you lot accidentally book a therapist instead of an inspection? 😂 Let me make this simple — if you’ve got a REAL problem with a car, these guys are unreal. If you’ve just decided you don’t like your car anymore and want someone to magically get you out of it… yeah, that’s not what they do. I went to them after being sold what can only be described as a mobile hazard. I’m talking clown car / dodgem levels of safety — genuinely shocking this thing was allowed on the road. The dealership was denying everything of course, acting like I was being dramatic while the car was basically threatening to fall apart. Ace Engineers came in and absolutely dismantled that nonsense. From the start they were professional, friendly, and actually explained things properly (which helps when you’re already stressed and wondering if you’ve just bought the worst car in the UK). The inspection itself? Next level. I thought I’d spotted a few issues… they went way beyond that. Found faults I didn’t even know existed. At this point I wouldn’t have been surprised if they discovered the car was powered by hopes and lies. And the report they produced? Brutal (in a good way). Clear, detailed, and backed me up completely. It basically shut down the dealership’s excuses instantly and saved me from being stuck paying for an unsafe piece of junk. Quick turnaround, solid communication, no messing about — just proper, honest work. End of the day, they deal in facts, not feelings. Which is exactly what you need when someone’s tried to sell you a car that belongs in a scrapyard. If you’ve been mis-sold a car — use them. If you just regret your purchase — that’s a you problem. I wish to formally express serious concerns regarding the services provided by ACE UK. Based on my experience, I found the engineering reports they produced to be inconclusive and lacking the depth and rigor expected of a professional independent assessment. The inspection I commissioned, for a fee of £300, lasted approximately 20 minutes and primarily involved the use of a diagnostic tool, which merely confirmed faults previously identified. Despite the limited scope of the inspection, the resulting report reached definitive conclusions regarding the condition of the vehicle. Furthermore, the quality of fault analysis and technical evaluation appeared inadequate, and the level of customer service was unsatisfactory. Given these observations, I cannot recommend ACE UK for those seeking a thorough, reliable, and professional engineering assessment, particularly in the context of disputes or matters requiring expert verification. Potential clients are advised to exercise caution and consider alternative providers with verifiable expertise and thorough reporting standards.

I paid £500 for an “independent engineering report” from ACE and received what can only be described as a superficial, box-ticking exercise. The inspection lasted around 30 minutes and consisted primarily of plugging in a diagnostic tool, which simply confirmed faults already identified elsewhere. There was no road test, no fluid inspection, no dismantling, and only limited visibility of key components. Despite this, the report went on to reach firm conclusions about the condition of the vehicle. What is particularly concerning is that the report itself acknowledges that further investigation would be required into critical issues including the transmission (you don't say, if only there was a company that could do a report on this kind of thing), yet still concludes that no faults were developing at the point of sale. That is not a balanced or technically robust assessment, this is a subjective view on a half-hearted money grab assessment. Matters deteriorated further when I provided a subsequent specialist report, which involved actual mechanical investigation and confirmed severe gearbox contamination, overheating damage, and risk of catastrophic failure. Rather than engage with this evidence, ACE declined to review their conclusions in any meaningful way. Instead, I was told their position remained unchanged because a previous owner had not reported a transmission fault. This is not engineering analysis. It is a non-technical justification that ignores physical evidence. For a report that is marketed and priced as independent, dispute-grade evidence, I found the service to be superficial, inconsistent, and ultimately not fit for purpose. I would strongly advise anyone needing a reliable expert assessment, particularly for a dispute, to proceed with caution. If you’re looking for useless. Go to ACE.
Mis-sold service and a total scam. I am not sure how they are recommended by the Financial Ombudsman. Firstly, when arranging the call-out I was told that a specialist engineer would attend to carry out an initial assessment and that if there was potential for a report in the customer’s favour, they would proceed. They also shared several well-written, customer-focused reports as examples of their work. However, soon after paying the money for an independent review, the so-called engineer arrived and literally did nothing of substance. The knowledge and experience that were claimed were simply not there. There was no evidence of a well-researched, evidence-based argument, but rather conclusions based purely on opinion. I will be reporting them to the finance companies so that they stop recommending them.

Was recommended by the Ombudsman that I needed an independent inspection to prove that an issue with my car was likely present at point of purchase as without that I would lose my case against the finance company. I booked an inspection and someone came out fairly quickly to inspect the car. They compiled a report which helped to get a full reimbursement of all payments, deposit and compensation. Best £288 ever spent. Highly recommended.
I’d contacted a couple of companies but ACE stood out from minute one. The ladies in the office were fantastic, friendly, very clear and their correspondence was the same. This company has ethics and integrity with high customer service throughout every strand of their process and every level of their workforce. From minute one I was informed that there will be an initial review of the information I provide by a technical expert and only then will they make a decision on whether they feel they can assist. Once my request was accepted there was again full clarity on the process. The fact that I would not be made aware of any information in my favour or against me until the full inspection and analysis of their tests had been carried out. What I was also clear about was that whilst on face value and with the information they had, it looked like they could assist, they couldn’t be sure until the full analysis was complete. For me, the clarity, professionalism and integrity of how they conduct their processes is exactly what I was looking for but even before any payment was made I knew exactly how things would be done. I don’t think you can ask for fairer than that. I genuinely couldn’t recommend them more. I haven’t had the report yet and there is a chance that the outcome is not in my favour but I know when I get it, it will be thorough, honest and be able to be challenged in court successfully if that’s necessary. This wasn’t how I felt about the other companies I contacted initially.

I used ACE to provide an independent accident report following an incident where we were hit by a Third Party in a car park. The accident was clearly not our fault, but owing to the lack of witnesses and dash cam footage was declared 50/50 liability. We now intend to use the report in court in April 2026, to act as evidence to support the claim and therefore pushing full liability as it should be to the Third Party. Lauren was my initial point of contact and was a delight. She subsequently facilitated a phone call with the super helpful Dave, who was one of the Consultant Engineers, who spent some time discussing what was needed to progress and how it would assist in the court case. He then provided the report shortly after. I was very pleased with the report I received and I hope it will serve its purpose. I potentially can request Dave to attend the court for an additional fee, to talk through his findings with the Judge, which I am seriously considering.
Terrible experience with this company. Carried out an independent inspection which was extremely different to the one described to me during consultation, £288 wasted as the inspection did not even look at the issues noted. Have contacted the company several times since the start of December to be passed on from one person to another, who is very unprofessional and unhelpful and thinks ‘ive chased this’ is a sufficient update. I would avoid using this company as the work carried out is not as described and when you highlight this you will be fobbed off continuously. I have now had to contact the ombudsman regarding this company as they refuse to address my complaint in a timely manor. I hate bad reviews and rarely leave a review at all but this needed highlighting. Shame as the owner Graham was absolutely lovely during consultation.
