My father had surgery after being diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and underwent chemotherapy for 6 months with this diagnosis. We visited countless doctors in search of a solution to his persistent pain after the first colon surgery. During this process, my father had to go through two consecutive major surgeries due to bowel obstruction and then a rupture. After these surgeries, a colostomy was performed on my father to reduce the risk of a recurrence of rupture and infection. Not only did my father's pain not subside, but he also became bedridden. He couldn't even sit while eating due to the pain, and he was deteriorating right before our eyes. While we were searching for a way to alleviate his pain, we discovered that the initial diagnosis of stage 3 colon cancer was incorrect and that it was actually stage 4 (metastatic) colon cancer. Naturally, we had lost all confidence in our own medical team, and we wondered if we could find a doctor who would accept a 72-year-old stage 4 cancer patient who had undergone such extensive surgeries. That's when we met Dr. Multu. Our initial meeting was over the phone, and he asked us to send all the reports we had. After analyzing them with his team, he explained to us the cause of the persistent pain and assured us that he could remove the metastatic tumors through surgery and, if all went well, reverse the colostomy (something my father's previous medical team hadn't even mentioned). Right from the start, he instilled genuine trust in us. Where other doctors had given my father just 5-6 months to live, he seemed to perform a miraculous touch, and he followed through with everything he promised. After the surgery, my father's pain disappeared, the colostomy was reversed, the initial post-surgery scans showed the tumors had been removed, and he continues his chemotherapy treatment. He can now walk without pain, which is incredibly important to us because in the two months before the surgery, my father had probably walked for a total of 30 minutes. Dr. Multu's surgical skills are already outstanding, but his humanity takes his care to a whole different level. He truly understands and cares for both the patient and their family. He listens without getting tired, day or night, even on weekends. He never left our questions unanswered. He left no room for doubt in our hearts. He is an incredible doctor with no ego despite his remarkable surgical success. I hope no one ever needs him, but for those who do, I recommend him with peace of mind.
