These types of investments are unregulated and really should not be considered investments but an unsecured loan. There is absolutely no security offered although Citygate Housing stated the a firm of SRA regulated solicitors had been appointed to oversee the "investments " and to take control and administer the payment to the investors/ lenders should Citygate Housing cease to trade. The is all well and good providing the Trustees have funds available to pay investors and/or a first charge secured on any assets. Citygate housing trading model was to seek funds on the promise that they would repay the capital plus 20% pa interest over 36 months. The funds would be used to take head leases on properties considered suitable for assisted living, refurbish the properties to the standard required by the Housing providers, who would then sign a fully insuring and repairing lease. The Housing providers are funded by local authorities and government agencies. It all sounded very plausible although highly geared a 20% rate of return is achievable provided strict management controls and adequate security are in place. Investors money and rental payments should be ring fenced in Trustee designated Bank accounts with the appointed Trustees as authorised signatories. The trustees would need to audit Citygate Housing expenses on an ongoing basis. My concerns regarding Citygate Housing were raised when I received an invoice requesting payment of my proposed investment. The invoice was headed Citygate Ltd, which I established was a Car Dealership. I spoke to Lee Connor who assured me that this was an error in printing When I raised further queries with him via email I was not overly impressed with his response so decided not to proceed. Clearly Citygate Housing Ltd are pyramid selling and looking at the comments posted on Trustpilot they have runout of new investors so now can't pay their existing clients. The only director now is Sandro Zambon, in June 24 one Nathan Cross was the CEO. I hope those investors who are caught up in this and "invested" their cash with Citygate Housing somehow get their money back

Scammed. Offices closed can't get through and fear have lost everything. Ppls can you get in touch if you also have similar experience to join forces asap
I’m reaching out with a very concerning update about Citygate Housing. It appears they have closed all their offices and taken down their signage, and unfortunately, I am now unable to reach them. I tried contacting Kai Martin, who assisted me with my investment, but he mentioned that he left the company without receiving his salary and is also in the dark about the situation. Given these circumstances, I believe we may need to consider immediate legal action. This has put my savings at risk, and I’m worried about recovering any of the funds. If you have any other information or suggestions on a course of action, please let me know. It may also be beneficial for all affected parties to join forces to improve our chances of success.
Citygate has turned out to be a scam. They have taken my money and ran off. The company directors are now showing as ceased and all IG posts with their team have been removed (comments are also disabled) everyone else who has invested needs to take legal action. I imagine the Feb date is the scammers trying to delay legal action whilst they ‘wind the company up’ there will be no buy out and no refund it’s all a scam.
I invested £27k stupid me I know after 3 months of payment they stopped all Phones are switched of no contact wtf do I do now any help or advise ? Please email iah2023.hotmail.com or me or contact 07810826698. About to have a heart attack.
I invested with citygate housing with payment to be made to me over 36 months however I have only received 3 payments and payments have stopped.Dont trust this company they claim all kinds of protection but it's false.
Scam!!! Well marketed, well presented, promises government and local authority backed. Then they're gone with you money and the property isn't even theirs to rent, lease or own. I ignored, the little niggle in my gut and now down £27,000. Reported to the police!
I’m a financial journalist and have written about social housing investment companies, including Citygate Housing. If you’re a Citygate Housing investor and would like to contact me about your experience, my email is penmanaz@ gmail.com. Please note I have not invested in Citygate Housing, my rating is not based on personal experience.
They took my 65k for 5 units and promised 36 months of 'guaranteed' payments every quarterly. They even went to lengths to proove this was goverment backed and regulated so so nothing could go wrong and my payments would not stop. How wrong was I, after 1 payment all payments have been halted and they can not be reached. After closer inspection, I did a little research on the property I had invested with and contacted the owner and the owner has no contract with CG nor has he ever heard of them. I put my money and faith in them and they ruined my family. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
People leaving reviews like Najeeb Alneab (below) are clearly connected to Citygatehousing and are the ones pocketing investors money. Their message should be flagged and removed from this site. Which company doesn't respond to emails or have a phone number to contact? Day by day it is becoming more and more apparent they are scammers. Plain and simple there is no government backing and there is no social housing. They have 0 contracts with any councils as they claim and no estate agent of the blocks they mentioned have heard of them! Justice will be served to these frauds!
Can some one please email me regarding this essexlondon2001 gmail.com As I'm going to take an action
Investing with CityGate Housing. Think of it as a unique opportunity to watch your hard-earned money be spirited away to… well, I'm not entirely sure. Somewhere mysterious, definitely sunny, and far from any returns you’ll ever see. They market it as a “government-backed income” investment, which sounds reassuring—until you realise that the only thing that's actually guaranteed is their ability to dodge you once they’ve got your cash. Lovely. And the customer service? The last time I heard from them, I still had hope, which tells you how long it’s been. They call it a “partnership.” A partnership? I’d have more luck partnering with my late mother-in-law. I’m wondering if the next step is to send smoke signals to get an update. So, if you fancy an investment experience with all the customer service of a faulty toaster, CityGate’s your place. Just don’t expect them to respond, fix anything, or act remotely like a functioning company. Toss your money into a well instead. At least it won’t pretend it’s emailing you back.
I’m having the same issue. Invested back in July, meant to received 1st payment on 20th October. Received an email regarding banking issue , just like someone other people mentioned here in their concern. Since then I’m trying to call and emails after emails, but there is no answer as of yet. I will wait another week before take a legal action, bring police in and other channels if needed. We all need to make enough noise to the authorities have no option, but to take action against these scammers.
If you refuse to do your due diligence, are seduced by high rates of return and ignore warnings then this is what you get. I have spoken to many investors and tried to warn them about Citygate but most went ahead and invested regardless.
