THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! Absolutely disappointed with DU Home Internet service. I’ve been dealing with constant internet problems for a long time, and when I finally decided to cancel, I was told they couldn’t process it because my account was tagged as “Mr” instead of “Ms.” I went personally to a DU store, waited for HOURS just to have this corrected. The agent assured me everything was fixed already, so I went home expecting no more issues. But when I called customer service again to proceed with cancellation, surprise — NOTHING was changed at all. Imagine wasting your time going to the store, waiting endlessly, only for the issue to remain unresolved. Poor coordination, poor customer service, and extremely frustrating experience. Customers should not have to go through this much stress just to fix a simple account detail and cancel a service.

Du, officially fraud

I am trying to cancel my home internet and I can’t. The IVR service is only in Arabic and I was told by Du store that there is no other way to cancel the service. Du is an official fraudulent organisation like many here. Expats, avoid this company.

Home wireless Entertainment

Home wireless Entertainment Stay away from Du. Absolutely terrible experience with Du Home Wireless Entertainment. The internet connection has been poor since day one. They changed the router twice, and the exact same issues continued. We had days with no internet at all. Their customer service is the worst part. Every time you contact them, you get transferred between customer service, technical support, retention, and billing with no actual solution. Nobody takes responsibility. And when you finally decide to cancel because the service simply does not work, they make the process a nightmare. Endless calls, different departments, repeating the same story over and over, and being kept in an exhausting loop. Customer service all Egyptian with very bad English communication, zero professionalism! Very disappointing service. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Very disappointing experience with

Very disappointing experience with . My number has been suspended for more than 4 days without any clear reason or proper support. Today, almost all banking and business services depend on OTP verification through mobile numbers, and this issue has seriously affected my work. Customer service gives no clear answers and no real solution. One of the worst telecom experiences I’ve had.

My number was active and functioning…

My number was active and functioning normally, however the service was abruptly disconnected on 5th May, causing significant inconvenience and disruption to my personal and professional communication. As a banker my clients contact me on my number regularly and if the call is not attended on time which will create a problem for my job. I called the du call center on 5th may and asked for the reason for my number disconnection and requested to reactivate the number, but the du call center agent said my number is disconnected due to my emirates id. I told the du agent that my emirates id is still valid and he checked his system and confirmed my emirates id is not expired and the number got disconnected due to technical issues and told me to vist DU store to reactivate my number. On 5th May evening i took a taxi and visited the DU store in Sahara Center Sharjah, i took a token and waited for 1 hour. later on the DU agent was no able to tell me which my number was disconnected and she couldn't reactivate my number.after waiting for long time i spoke to the manger and she said we don't know why your number is disconnected...go to other store sharjah city center and dubai hills Du store and check there. I told her i want to speak to some higher then you and that lady replied i will raise a complaint and you come back tomorrow. I realised she didn't want to help and I left the store. After reaching home i called the du call center and i said i want to raise a complaint stating that i was told to visit the store to reactivate my number and the store agent did not help me. call center agent said he will raise a complaint and I will get a call back the next day. on 6th april i got a call from DU and i was said to visit the store again, i told that person how important it is to Activate my number, i told him if my number is inactive it will be a problem for my job and i have to call my family too and after checking with his manager he offered me a waiver of my latest bill of amount aed 126. i refused saying i don't want waiver i can pay the bill amount but most important is to activate my number... Finally he said visit the store again. Evening i took a taxi and I went to the DU store in Sharjah city center... the lady there said she raised a request to reactivate my number and she will get approval in 3-4 hours and she told me to wait.. i told her i can't wait in the store for 4 hours and the lady said she will call him once she gets approval and then again i have to visit the store.i left the store and i waited till 10pm and no calls were received. i called call center and asked them to connect my call to du store in sharjah city center..they said they can't and i asked the agent that i want to talk to manager and she replied there is no manager at work Now, the manager will come tomorrow morning and she said she will inform manager to call me....no manager called me on the next day. I called du call center today morning 7th may, again i was told to visit the store sharjah city center and they will activate my number. I took a leave day for my work today, took a taxi and i visited sharjah city center and spoke to the same agent who told me yesterday evening that she will call me in 3-4 hours. then she said we will reactivate my number but you have to take a new 1 year contract and you will pay 1 month in advance and i have to pay AED 57.55 for a new sim and if i cancel before 1 year i will be charged. i disagreed and i told her my contract was renewed in november 2025 and its not even 1 year and why should i take a new contract and i will not pay for new sim...i was very frustrated and i told her i need to speak to a manager. Manager comes- i told him my number was disconnected for no reason, i am paying bills on time and my emirates id is not expired. he suddenly put a blame on me and said you requested to cancel your number..i was shocked to hear that and i asked him to show me the proof that when and where and how i requested to cancel my number and contract..he had no answer and he started talking irrelevant talks...i told him i will not pay extra due to a mistake from DU i have suffered and now you asking me to pay to cover your error, i wasted my time and money visiting DU stores for 3 days..he said we will raise a request to issue a new sim for free and you come back tomorrow if they approve we can issue a sim for free if not you have to pay.. I told him i can't visit the store again tomorrow and I told him it's not about money... DU disconnected my number and you cancelled my contact for no reason and you are asking me to pay. i was frustrated and i told the manager that i will raise a complaint with TDRA...he replied ok raise complaint and he left. I had no option left, i agreed for a new contract and i paid for the new sim because the activation of my number was very important for me and left the store with a bad experience

DU service impossible to reach

DU customer service has become impossible to reach. Our internet service suddenly stopped overnight, and when we checked the router/server settings, it appeared that the username and password had been changed without clear explanation. We tried to contact DU, but the automated system only runs a test, says there is an issue, then ends the call. When trying to file or follow up on a issue or complaint, the system says there is no complaint registered and disconnects again. There is no proper way to speak to someone, register an issue, or get a clear answer. DU keeps charging premium prices, but the customer service is now almost non-existent. Automated systems should help customers, not block them completely.

NEVER TRUST DU!!!

Unbelievable! Literally the worst service in the UAE. Impossible to speak to or chat with an agent. My home internet was disconnected yesterday with the promise it would be restored within two hours with the installation of a new router. Still now a day later, no one came. No one contacted me and my ticket no longer appears in your system. As a large telecom company you should be ashamed of yourselves. My wife is bedridden and must use a wheelchair to get around and you idiots can’t be bothered to uphold your commitments to restore our internet. You are a pathetic company and I can’t wait to switch to Etisalat. Good riddance Du!

Du customers services calling center is…

Du customers services calling center is a waste of time.. trying to call my home country call will not get through the receiver is local receiver even though we are dialing a country code and every number called its the same and money is deducted. Trying to ask why is that and the agents is saying nothing is wrong telling me to dial the correct number. Stupid.

I am a DU customer for over 4 years

I am a DU customer for over 4 years, but this experience has raised serious concerns about the sales practices and customer handling. I was contacted by sales representatives promoting a postpaid plan with a clear promise of a mobile phone on EMI. I questioned the legitimacy during the call, especially as the caller ID showed a third-party marketing name. I was assured multiple times that the offer was genuine and that the phone would be provided after switching. Based on these assurances, I converted my prepaid SIM to postpaid. However, after the activation, communication stopped and I was later informed that I am not eligible for the promised phone. The commitments made during the sales process were not honored. This reflects misleading sales communication and lack of accountability from third-party agents representing DU. I request DU management to seriously investigate such practices, as they directly impact customer trust and decision-making.

Impossible to cancel my home wifi!

Impossible to cancel my home wifi!! They force you to cancel only through phone call with your registered phone number, and either no one pick up the phone, or technical issue with the line, they cannot hear you. I left the UAE, and I am stuck because they do everything they can to avoid the cancellation but these are scammers methods!!! AVOID DU !!!!!

DU customer care doesnt care

I had some problems with my home wifi connection so I visited Du mall shop. However my experience was very bad. No one was willing to help me and they only asked me to call customer care. So i called customer care who was equally nonchalant and asked me to send an email. I sent an email then but is totally bullshit because it takes 2 days before they respond with some rubbish excuse without addressing the issue. There was no internet at home for 3 days so I went back to Du shop. Finally there was a good Indian man named Jafer who explained what happened and was able to resolve the issue. But in general Du customer care is still bullshit.

Simple things are made unnecessarily…

Simple things are made unnecessarily complicated. My experience with the du business account service has been extremely frustrating. The issue does not seem to be only with the consultants. It feels like the process itself is broken by design. A simple request to transfer my number from Etisalat to my business account took four visits. Each visit came with a new reason, a new instruction, or a new location to go to. First, I was told the number could not be transferred directly and had to be ported to du first. Then I was told it could not be postpaid and had to be prepaid. Then I was told the same center could not process it and I had to visit another center. Then I was told the trade license needed to be updated and I had to wait another 24 hours. On the fourth visit, there was still another issue with the prepaid option. No one seemed clear on the actual process. Business and personal services are handled separately, but the customer is made to run between both. The process is not logical, not smooth, and not customer friendly. The same applies to changing, upgrading, or downgrading packages. Even at the end of the month, I was told I should have come three or four days earlier, otherwise the new billing cycle would start and I would be charged for the full month. In today’s world, basic account changes should not require multiple visits, repeated explanations, and new excuses every time. du needs to seriously review its business account service process. Customers are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for clear information, trained teams, and systems that actually work.
