Definitely worth your business

I found Ever to be professional and affordable, better price than some other places I was looking. Staff were friendly and patient and responded to my communications in a timely manner when my payment went astray due to BofA's terribly confusing website. I would have given a five star review but I was kept waiting quite a while both times when they knew I was coming to test drive and then pick up the car.

Poor communication. Fake listings?

Communication with this company is bad. I expressed interest in a car that was said to be in repair at the dealership. They said they'd contact me when it returned. I have continued to reach out for updates over the past few weeks with zero response. Now, they responded and tell me the car is reserved for someone else. Poor customer service. If I can't communicate about purchasing a car, I wouldn't want to experience their support during and after a purchase. I've wondered if majority of their listings are fake. Another reviewer post about their start-up efforts. My experience has been misleading and a waste of time. ***Response to deleted reply from Ever Ev: This is a real review and if you dont have records, that may be part of the problem. Canned responses to excuse bad service doesn't make things better. "My name is Giorgi, and I am one of the EV Consultants here at Ever. I am reaching out in response to your inquiry for our 2021BMWi3. That specific one is currently reserved under another customer; however we do have similar Ever Certified EVs in our inventory." From Ever. Recheck your records? Maybe? Update: They did reach out but I already found another car. They made an attempt to repair this bad experience however it was followed by a request to please change my one star rating. When I did not, and Cargurus asked me for a rating, Ever ev text me about their disapproval of my cargurus rating. This is inappropriate and awful business etiquette. I've asked them to stop contacting me.

I went to buy a car from this company

I went to buy a car from this company, had the loan all ready to go and trade ready and this company completely ghosted me. I’m at a loss on what’s going on here but clearly this company needs to mature abit. If you can’t go there directly and buy, I’d be cautious to buy from them.

Absolutely great experience buying a…

Absolutely great experience buying a car this dealership. We are near San Francisco so we're able to take some test drives. Every car they offer was detailed to the hilt. The staff was super friendly and informative. We got a very satisfactory deal on a low milage EV. Everything from test drive to out the door was low street and about as seamless as I have ever experienced. Highly recommended!

Buyer beware: payment required; transfer of title has to wait

While the staff are friendly, Ever requires payment or financing of the vehicle upfront, but will not transfer title to the vehicle at the time of payment. The stated reason is because of their seven day return policy, which allows a buyer to return a vehicle within seven days. There is no way that I am willing to pay for a car without title transferring. Additionally, while I could have missed it, I went over the contract documents carefully and did not see this disclosed in writing anywhere in the contract. In fact, to the contrary, the contract provides that title will be transferred upon the sale. The cancellation contract, that allows for a seven day cancellation period, does not provide for withholding title to the vehicle. In fact, the cancellation agreement provides that "the buyer is the owner of the vehicle from when he or she takes delivery of the vehicle." Withholding title therefore becomes impairment of the rights of ownership that the cancellation contract expressly provides for.

A COMPLETE WASTE OF HOURS OF TIME & WEEKS WITHOUT A CAR

THEY ARE TRYING TO DO A TECH START-UP FOR USED CAR SALES BUT ARE DISRUPTING NOTHING & ARE WORSE THAN THE INCUMBENTS I reserved a car 7 days ago on a Friday. I emailed sales straight after and asked for someone to contact me. Nobody did. So I called later that day. I spoke to the Sales Director who proceeded to tell me that the car was not actually ready for sale but they listed it anyway because "some customers like that." I said I thought it was disigenuous to list a car that is not ready for sale and that has nort even been checked yet for issues. He did not want to listen or learn. The irony of it all is that I have been in the tech start-up ecosystem since 1999 and am a professional disruption innovation consultant so I know a little about what disruption is and how to get early customers raving with positivity. This is not it. He said his "ops team" did not work weekends so they would get back to me monday with shipping dates. On monday he said the car needed parts and that they would be fitted Friday and then it would be ready for shipping. He told me he would send photos during the week and shipping options. None arrived. The friday arrived and no response. I emailed. He called around 3pm only to tell me the parts wouldnt be fitted until Tuesday at the earliest. No shipping info. In other words, since "reserving" the car for sale by this company trying to be efficient and "disruptive", I would not get the car for over 2 weeks. This is worse than the already awful Used Car industry standard (if you can call it that). Meanwhile we have no car, have wasted over a week, and upwards of two hours speaking with these jokers. You have been warned.

I'm giving these guys a 5 star review

I'm giving these guys a 5 star review, not because it wasn't without some small issues, but because I dealt with human beings on an all online transaction. 1. The website is great to choose a car. Their prices are competitive, and/or better than a dealer, with NONE of those BS dealer charges. The price you pay is what you see. Check against Cars.com and you'll see they are great prices. Then they are very clear about the benefits of shopping on EVER. You get a 150 point inspection, and a 7 day money back guarantee. That's pretty good. 2. The purchase process was super simple with everything happening online. 3. The challenge was that the website isn't as intuitive as to where you are in the purchase process. It looked like I'd bought the car - it was listed as purchase in progress, and I hadn't committed to buying it (at least so I thought - don't worry - I hadn't). 4. However, when phoning them, I got to talk to real people, who texted, and generally were super nice (shout out to Hugo - who's amazing, and Thomas too). 5. I think they were over worked so communication wasn't perfect, but check this... every time I phoned, I got a human being! 6. The best thing was the process was super, super simple, and they delivered from San Fran to LA in two days, in time for Christmas. The car is great, and I really can't believe that they balanced the online service with the human touch and got me the car in time for Christmas. Nothing is perfect in life, but these guys delivered, on time, with best online service. Even though my experience wasn't perfect, the fact that I know Hugo to be a real human, who responds on a Saturday, but it all feels like a smooth online site meant I needed to give these guys 5 stars. I'm not paid, or anything, I'm nothing to do with this company and I'm not an influencer, but the service was fantastic. Maybe they need a couple more people working for them but the human touch, in this world today meant that they gained my absolute trust.

Refreshing Car-buying Experience

I decided I was ready to get my first EV, but wasn't sure which one I wanted. Because each manufacturer has only one or two EV's in their lineup, I began to visit a lot of dealerships to try them all. I managed to figure out what I wanted, but was really worn out from all the sales pitches and pressure to buy new. I knew I wanted to buy used, but when salespeople at dealerships heard this, they weren't real interested in helping me anymore. I was reminded why I hate buying cars, and was tired and frustrated. Not knowing all my options, I began to look at the online used car apps. Over and over, I saw listings posted by EverCars, and decided to visit their website and give them a call. I was pleased by the reasonable, no-haggle pricing, and was reassured by the CARFAX reports, and the Battery testing (this was one of my biggest concerns, knowing that battery health is really important when buying an EV). After calling and texting with Yevgeniy to ask a few questions, I decided to go in to see one of their cars. I sure wish I'd gone straight to EverCars from the beginning. They have so many EVs all in one place so you can go from car to car to compare (and not from dealership to dealership). They have a wonderful little staff of knowledgeable salespeople who could have helped me select the right one for me from the get-go. I was totally tickled when I got there because their sales concept was so simple and transparent. Yevgeniy was super friendly, helpful, and kind. He helped answer all my questions about the car, and took me on a test drive. I realized that buying cars can actually be easy and fun! With zero pressure, I decided to buy the car, and it only took about 30 minutes. We used Docusign, and a couple other links by email. And that was it! I was reassured by the 7-day return policy, and was pleased to learn that they gave me a Level 1&2 charger to go with the car! Thank you, EverCar team! I'll absolutely be coming back for my next EV when our family needs one.

RETURN SHIPPING COST$ **BUYER BEWARE** on the Money Back Guarantee!

They do not, but SHOULD, disclose up-front that their "Money Back Guarantee" policy requires the (unsatisfied) buyer to pay for full the vehicle return shipping costs PLUS a $500. restocking fee. CAUTION!-This is a BUYER BEWARE hidden policy that puts you on the hook for a few thousand dollars or more depending upon how far the car is shipped to the buyer....Very Unprofessional. Don't get too far into the purchase before clarifying this. It's written in small legal language on their -hard to find- 'Terms of Use' page along with dozens of other policy surprises!
