ReviewTerminal Summary

Ever Cars delivers an excellent online and in-showroom buying experience with transparent pricing and knowledgeable staff, but suffers from significant post-purchase communication breakdowns and occasional questionable trade-in practices that frustrate some customers.

What customers love

  • Transparent, no-haggle pricing with no hidden dealer fees or pressure tactics
  • Seamless online purchase process with easy remote buying, test drives, and delivery options
  • Responsive, knowledgeable sales staff (Yevgeniy, Nick, Giorgi, Will, Trevor noted frequently) who provide honest guidance and detailed vehicle information

Common concerns

  • Trade-in reappraisals and deal changes at point of pickup, sometimes with questionable technical findings or without advance notice despite submitted documentation

Customer service is very poor after you…

Customer service is very poor after you send them your money. For almost a week I didn’t hear anything back and we thought the whole thing was a scam. They finally responded to our many calls and emails and then told us it would be 3 weeks before receiving our paid for car. I will never buy from Ever Cars again.

Zero Continuity, Zero Accountability. Buyer Beware

We bought a 2022 Volvo from Ever Cars on Wednesday — that transaction went fine, which was barely ok. On that same Wednesday I test drove and reserved a 2023 MINI Cooper SE, trading in a 2021 Tesla Model Y. I had already sent detailed trade-in photos — 4 exterior, 4 interior, VIN, mileage — on Tuesday. By late that week, the finance team had called, walked us through all the paperwork, and I'd signed the financing documents. Vehicle swap was scheduled for Saturday at 1:00pm. I told them explicitly we needed to be in and out — my wife had work and we had our 3-year-old with us. We arrived on time. We then sat in the showroom for over 30 minutes, completely unacknowledged. Every employee on the floor clearly knew what was going on; nobody said a word to us. I finally stood up and asked. A man who introduced himself as a co-founder, Lasse-Mathias Nyberg, informed us that our Tesla was being re-appraised because of scuffed wheels — a detail fully visible in the photos they had sat on for four days. The revised offer came in $1,600 below the $25,500 already agreed to, and he suggested we had "lied" on the trade-in intake. The photos say otherwise. What Ever Cars actually delivered: Four days of submitted photos ignored until the literal moment of pickup Financing signed, then the deal re-opened on pickup day over a $1,600 adjustment they could have raised any time that week Over an hour of our time wasted with a toddler in a dealership waiting room A second hard credit pull without my authorization, two days after the first one for this same deal Zero continuity between staff — every handoff starts from scratch, with no memory of what the previous person agreed to No apology, no attempt to salvage anything, no call from management After I walked, a single text: "released the vehicle you reserved" If you're considering Ever Cars: understand that a signed agreement here means nothing until the keys are in your hand. They will re-trade the deal at the moment of maximum leverage against you — when you've already arranged financing, rearranged your day, and shown up with your family. Buy elsewhere.

By far the worst experience I’ve had in…

By far the worst experience I’ve had in long time. Evri don’t even bother to come back. I ordered a pair of shoes they say they’re on their way. They say they’re due to be delivered and then all of a sudden they returned the item back to the sender, no reply to my request for information as to why this has happened they are one of the worst companies. Cannot put it into words how bad this company is. do not use.

Poor communication. Fake listings?

Communication with this company is bad. I expressed interest in a car that was said to be in repair at the dealership. They said they'd contact me when it returned. I have continued to reach out for updates over the past few weeks with zero response. Now, they responded and tell me the car is reserved for someone else. Poor customer service. If I can't communicate about purchasing a car, I wouldn't want to experience their support during and after a purchase. I've wondered if majority of their listings are fake. Another reviewer post about their start-up efforts. My experience has been misleading and a waste of time. ***Response to deleted reply from Ever Ev: This is a real review and if you dont have records, that may be part of the problem. Canned responses to excuse bad service doesn't make things better. "My name is Giorgi, and I am one of the EV Consultants here at Ever. I am reaching out in response to your inquiry for our 2021BMWi3. That specific one is currently reserved under another customer; however we do have similar Ever Certified EVs in our inventory." From Ever. Recheck your records? Maybe? Update: They did reach out but I already found another car. They made an attempt to repair this bad experience however it was followed by a request to please change my one star rating. When I did not, and Cargurus asked me for a rating, Ever ev text me about their disapproval of my cargurus rating. This is inappropriate and awful business etiquette. I've asked them to stop contacting me.

I went to buy a car from this company

I went to buy a car from this company, had the loan all ready to go and trade ready and this company completely ghosted me. I’m at a loss on what’s going on here but clearly this company needs to mature abit. If you can’t go there directly and buy, I’d be cautious to buy from them.

Buyer beware: payment required; transfer of title has to wait

While the staff are friendly, Ever requires payment or financing of the vehicle upfront, but will not transfer title to the vehicle at the time of payment. The stated reason is because of their seven day return policy, which allows a buyer to return a vehicle within seven days. There is no way that I am willing to pay for a car without title transferring. Additionally, while I could have missed it, I went over the contract documents carefully and did not see this disclosed in writing anywhere in the contract. In fact, to the contrary, the contract provides that title will be transferred upon the sale. The cancellation contract, that allows for a seven day cancellation period, does not provide for withholding title to the vehicle. In fact, the cancellation agreement provides that "the buyer is the owner of the vehicle from when he or she takes delivery of the vehicle." Withholding title therefore becomes impairment of the rights of ownership that the cancellation contract expressly provides for.

A COMPLETE WASTE OF HOURS OF TIME & WEEKS WITHOUT A CAR

THEY ARE TRYING TO DO A TECH START-UP FOR USED CAR SALES BUT ARE DISRUPTING NOTHING & ARE WORSE THAN THE INCUMBENTS I reserved a car 7 days ago on a Friday. I emailed sales straight after and asked for someone to contact me. Nobody did. So I called later that day. I spoke to the Sales Director who proceeded to tell me that the car was not actually ready for sale but they listed it anyway because "some customers like that." I said I thought it was disigenuous to list a car that is not ready for sale and that has nort even been checked yet for issues. He did not want to listen or learn. The irony of it all is that I have been in the tech start-up ecosystem since 1999 and am a professional disruption innovation consultant so I know a little about what disruption is and how to get early customers raving with positivity. This is not it. He said his "ops team" did not work weekends so they would get back to me monday with shipping dates. On monday he said the car needed parts and that they would be fitted Friday and then it would be ready for shipping. He told me he would send photos during the week and shipping options. None arrived. The friday arrived and no response. I emailed. He called around 3pm only to tell me the parts wouldnt be fitted until Tuesday at the earliest. No shipping info. In other words, since "reserving" the car for sale by this company trying to be efficient and "disruptive", I would not get the car for over 2 weeks. This is worse than the already awful Used Car industry standard (if you can call it that). Meanwhile we have no car, have wasted over a week, and upwards of two hours speaking with these jokers. You have been warned.

RETURN SHIPPING COST$ **BUYER BEWARE** on the Money Back Guarantee!

They do not, but SHOULD, disclose up-front that their "Money Back Guarantee" policy requires the (unsatisfied) buyer to pay for full the vehicle return shipping costs PLUS a $500. restocking fee. CAUTION!-This is a BUYER BEWARE hidden policy that puts you on the hook for a few thousand dollars or more depending upon how far the car is shipped to the buyer....Very Unprofessional. Don't get too far into the purchase before clarifying this. It's written in small legal language on their -hard to find- 'Terms of Use' page along with dozens of other policy surprises!
