I had a very disappointing experience with First Mortgage. After submitting all required documents and going through the initial process, I was informed that they would no longer be able to assist me. However, when I requested clarification on the reason, I was told they were “unable to provide any further information.” As a customer, this lack of transparency is extremely frustrating and, in my view, not good practice. I fully understand that not every case can proceed, but I would expect at least a basic explanation (for example, affordability, credit criteria, or documentation concerns) so that I can understand my position and take appropriate next steps. Completely refusing to provide any reason leaves customers in the dark and wastes time, especially when trying to secure something as important as a mortgage. Unfortunately, due to the lack of communication and transparency, I would not recommend this service.
