honestly didnt expect this. signed up for the portugal trip thinking i'd just hang out by the ocean and maybe try surfing once for the photo. never touched a board before in my life. by day 3 i was standing up. by day 5 i was chasing waves on my own and didnt want to leave. the instructors were so patient, never made me feel like the slow one in the group even tho i clearly was lol. they actually break things down in a way that makes sense, not just "paddle harder". the house was beautiful, food was insane (still think about those dinners), and the group ended up being people i still text. that was kind of unexpected too. came back home and immediatly booked surf lessons in my city. its officialy my hobby now:) hidden jam doesnt feel like a tour company, more like your friends planned the best week of your year. cant recommend enough!
I'd never done a group trip before and as a solo female traveler I was pretty nervous booking the Hidden Jam sailing trip in Amalfi. Week on a boat with strangers sounded amazing but also kind of intimidating. Ended up being one of my favourite trips ever!!!!!! The group was the best part. Mix of entrepreneurs and founders from the US and Europe, genuinely interesting people. I left with actual friends and a few business contacts I still tlk to Amalfi was unreal too! Positano, Capri, little coves only the captain knew about, dinners in tiny harbour towns. Food was incredible. Big thanks to our chef Elena One small thing — the welcome info before the trip could've been a bit more detailed, I had a few questions about what to pack and had to ask twice. Minor though, and once I was there everything ran smooth. Already looking at their next trip. Recommed.
There are few companies actually doing group trips “well”, we loved this one! The team is SO organized, which makes it very easy to enjoy the experience. They tell you each day what the possible options are, and you really don’t feel pressured to keep up with the schedule either. My boyfriend and I were able to go off the couple of afternoons we needed for work then rejoin later, we loved that. Getting to know new people, seeing all the beautiful sites, discussing business ideas, it was really a unique part of the trip I loved. The food on the trip from the personal chef was AMAZING! We wanted to bring our chef home with us 😂😂😂😂
I sailed for a week in Greece with Hidden Jams and loved it. I appreciated that they did a vibe check with guests because they paired people together well. Even though my roomie was from another country we got along great! What set this trip apart was the balance. We had time to relax and just soak in the beauty of the islands, play in the water, etc but also plenty of opportunities to explore charming villages. Everything felt seamless yet spontaneous, which is the sweet spot for travel. I would happily go on another adventure with Hidden Jams! It reset my soul.
Absolutely the most awful decision I have ever made: from the beginning the price was advertised at 2450, and then changed up in the call to 3900 I was looking at the website during the call and it was changed. It’s incredibly dishonest advertising. It was marketed as a social media/entrepreneur oppurtunity as well as having a one-on-one which I signed up for but never received: Ana also verified that I’d get a one on one and that never happened. The marketing workshop started by the guy giggling and flirting with a bunch of the girls which is incredibly unprofessional and just made the whole scenario a joke it wasn’t taken seriously. On the call I was told I was going to be on the other French persons boat and without any question from me was put on another boat which I didn’t agree to. The food was absolutely atrocious to say it was a Michelin star chef was not only false but I tried to go on other boats and buy myself food just to be able to eat a decent meal. I was required to do the dishes whilst others swam and enjoyed the sun. Absolutely unacceptable. I was not informed I’d be sharing a room- I’m not comfortable sharing a small bed with a female seeing as nowadays not everyone is straight it makes me feel uncomfortable. Sleeping ontop of a boat for that many days isn’t ideal. The people who’s boat I ended up on were also not informed they’d have two strangers added to their boat they were a group that all knew each other which wasn’t fair to them either. Furthermore my Roomate left toilet paper in the toilet and shit and left it there I mean the whole scenario to deal with was an absolute nightmare and it wasn’t even a long weekend it was a whole week I was stuck while others were served phenomenal food, without a comfortbale place to sleep or be. And the drama on the trip could make American reality shows look like child’s play.
I’ve already been on 2 trips with Hidden Jam: surf trip and a yachting one, - both were unforgettable! I went looking for a beautiful experience with cool people. But it ended up giving me sooooo much more. It was a complete reconnection — to myself, my joy, my energy, and what I actually want in life. ✦ Why it stands out: – The quality is exceptional — the planning, the food, the vibe, the locations.. you simply don’t find this anywhere else – The people are carefully selected — inspiring, kind, creative. You end up making real connections because you very often share core values. *I’m meeting with my surf trip friend in 2 weeks, though we are from 2 different countries! – The atmosphere is this rare mix of relaxe and energizing. Its fun and very real. I felt very seen, beautiful, its the place that you can just be yourself, and that’s where the magic happens. After these trips, I felt more connected: to myself, to my business, relationship.. to new ideas I hadn’t considered before. I even decided to start learning how to sail and going on the next captain practice in a month (Didn’t see that one coming!:)) Hidden Jam truly changed how I now look at vacations and experiences! The only issue here is that you just can’t get enough :):) Extra kudos to the whole team: they make the impossible possible and well, they won’t say it, but you know: YOU - are the main character. Like everything is for you… and somehow, thanks to you. It’s not just a vacation. It’s something you carry with you — even after you’re home.
I wish there was 6/5 rating! Okay, so I just got back from the most incredible trip to Italy with Hidden Jam, and I'm still buzzing! Honestly, I think I fell in love... with the yacht! Hidden Jam to me are all about creating these amazing, slightly over-the-top experiences, and they totally nailed it. Italy to me was about lazy mornings sipping coffee on deck, jumping into the sea whenever the mood struck (phone who?), and just soaking up the Italian sunshine. The all-girls crew was amazing – such a fun and supportive vibe. We ate SO much pizza (no regrets!), had some cheeky sunset skinny dips, and even watched a movie about yachts... on a yacht! How meta is that? But the best part was the people. We played funny games, shared some seriously cringe-worthy stories over dinner (you know the kind!). It was the perfect mix of luxury and genuine connection. I even managed to get some work done, vibe-coding at night and emailing from the waves. Hidden Jam helped me completely disconnect from the everyday and reconnect with what really matters. If you're looking for a trip that's a little bit extra, a lot of fun, and totally unforgettable, you HAVE to check them out. Seriously, thanks for the unexpected romance, @hiddenjam.co! I enjoyed a yacht trip with Hidden Jam in Amalfi. The team was fantastic and very welcoming!! Swimming in crystal water, tasty food, and making new friends in the group made the experience fantastic. I loved sitting on board each evening, drinking prosecco on the calming waves. The small, friendly group made us feel like a travel family. Highly recommended!
