Interrail delivers strong value and flexibility for European train travel (4.2/5), but the app's complexity and seat booking process frustrate users, while recent data security issues have severely damaged trust.

App not transparent. No idea, why some trips are able to book others are not. I got 3 of 4 days of inbound/outbound, but I could not choose the one day for travel in an non-resident country. So I had to give up two of four days. Why is this so complicated? It is just not comprehensible. Nicholas
The offer is good but app usability is horrible. Was unable to load my pass and add it to my planned route. Had to redo the whole planning on my phone shortly before departure. Only an uninstall on iOS and fresh install fixed the issue. I wonder how an older person would be stuck in that situation.
My trip was really great and I had few problems with the trains. What I really don't like is the fact that you sometimes have to pay extra fofr a seat on certain trains depending on the country. If you do the maths, buying an interrail pass can end up being more expensive than getting a ticket at the train station.
