Livingstone Brown delivers exceptional client care and positive outcomes for many clients, particularly in abuse redress and personal injury cases, but faces serious concerns around case management delays, communication failures, and potential conflicts of interest that have caused significant financial and emotional harm to some clients.

Highly Recommend I highly recommend Livingstone Brown to everyone in need of legal advice and guidance. Elizabeth McAlpine of Livingstone Brown took my case on and helped me when I was at my lowest point. Elizabeth achieved the best possible outcome for me. I was treated with kindness, sincerity and respect. I will be forever thankful to have been a client of this remarkable Law Firm.

Very professional, efficient and responsive. They accommodated to my specific needs as a client and ensured instructions were executed effectively. Were also available to provide further information and support where required. I feel satisfied with their service.
Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ John Barnes dealt with my road traffic accident claim... I was kept up to date with everything through emails & Phone calls... I really appreciate all the time & effort John put into my claim. Very happy with my outcome. Definitely recommend to family & friends ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Excellent in all formats. Kevin Pike was exceptional, and he had everything you needed to feel safe, seen, and heard. He was fast-acting and straight to the point, with no strings attached. He worked tirelessly to get the best results possible for my case, and he did it with respect and integrity. Respect was given and appreciated. He is professional, human, and a force to be reckoned with when needed. I highly recommend his services.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! ABSOLUTELY USELESS - they take on TOO MANY CASES, talk a good game to get the business and then don’t even read the evidence until the 11th hour; missing crucial evidence, pleading the case completely wrongly, jeapordising all chances of success. When you complain - because they have absolutely no defence for their lack of efficiency, professionalism and organisation - they then ‘drop the case’ entirely!!!! …at the 11th hr leaving you with no time to find alternative representation…citing issues and problems with the client (not themselves) …8’ spite of every shred of evidence being submitted on time and and in meticulous detail. An absolute SHAMBLES of a company; taking taxpayers money (via legal aid) for losing cases and causing already distressed and severely ‘at risk’ clients untold levels of additional anxiety( in some cases losing them their life savings and liveliehoods. UTTERLY APALLING !!!
As the widow of a client of theirs, I only had communications briefly with two members of their paralegal/assistant staff. The first person seemed to assume we were on matey terms which, given the circumstances at the time, I considered inappropriate, disrespectful and unprofessional. The other, some 16 months later, was obviously ill-informed but sent a letter, threatening legal consequences, anyway. Having added insult to injury, in neither case did my correspondents get back to me to explain, to clarify, or to apologise. I don't know whether that was just bad manners on their part, or lack of appropriate policy and supervision within the firm.
After arranging a day and time to have a telephone call they didn’t bother to call me or contact me to reschedule. Very unprofessional.
The way they handle their business is awful
I DO NOT recommend Paul Mullen stitched me up and Paul Sturdy steer well clear, if your innocent they will land you in jail serving time for something you didn't do. They were more interested in legal aid, they were an absolute nightmare to get a hold of, many many false promises, not to be trusted. Look elsewhere, theirs better lawyers out there, they would avoid me at all costs when i went to jail for a crime i didn't commit, they didn't follow my instructions. I regret going to them they strung me along! Bullying me into things i didn't want to do, i was just money to them. Avoid avoid avoid!!!! I've lost everything because of them, their crooks they shouldn't be allowed to be lawyers. Paul Mullen bullied me into taking a plea bargain!!! Him & Lorraine Glancy are bullies , Lorraine is council not a QC. lies upon lies from this firm
I am writing a review regarding the personal injury and civil litigation department. Kevin Pike, Director and Bobby Russell, Paralegal supported by John Barnes, Legal Secretary were assisting in my clinical negligence claim. Although, I did not get the result I didn't want, this was due to the merits of the case and not the work from the firm. I have found Kevin and Bobby to be extremely supportive and was very understanding, compassionate and caring to me when I was going through a difficult time. Kevin was very resourceful and clearly is a specialist in mental health negligence claims and knows the procedures very well. There is very few solicitors in Scotland who know about mental health negligence claims however I would say that this firm was excellent in their client care to me and always responded to e-mails very quickly, they kept me up to date at all times and always professional when speaking to them. I would have absolutely no hesitation in instructing Kevin Pike again in the future and want him to know that his support was very much appreciated and shows what a caring and specialist firm Livingstone Brown is with a trustpilot rating of 5/5.
Would have gave 0 stars if I could Took on an eviction of my tenant who hadn’t been paying rent for nearly year After me paying them the fee they then decided that they had previously represented the tenant in a previous eviction case as it was conflict of interest and pulled out leaving me with no lawyer as they done the part where the money was involved so no other lawyer would take it up from this point as there wasn’t the cash in it for them , I had to personally request time for the court to try And get another lawyer leaving the tenant rent free costing me more money , after no success I had to represent myself, I won the case as it was straightforward they hadn’t paid rent but if this was a complicated case it could have caused me to lose and half to restart again costing time and more money I wouldn’t recommend to anyone
If you're looking for a defense lawyer or family lawyer look elsewhere They are more interested in getting legal aid than representing you. If you're innocent you have a good chance of being stitched up and serving time for something you didn't do.
Livingstone Brown Solicitors and Estate Agents are the worst company I have ever used by a long way. Extremely slow, very poor service and a nightmare to deal with. I regret the decision to have them do our legal work and would not recommend them to anyone. Seriously, do yourself a favour and shop around. The world isn't exactly short of lawyers...
