ReviewTerminal Summary

Mailgun delivers strong email service reliability and setup ease, with exceptional support responsiveness that drives the 4.2/5 rating, but is undermined by critical account management issues and billing problems for a vocal minority.

What customers love

  • Fast, responsive, and professional customer support team with quick resolution times
  • Easy setup, reliable service, and simple API implementation
  • Affordable pricing and generous free tier

Common concerns

  • Account verification/signup process fails frequently, blocking users from accessing service while still charging them
  • Billing charges continue after account deletion and for unusable accounts
  • Misleading pricing display (dedicated IP marked as included when it costs extra $59/month) and slow support response on production issues (2.5+ days)

mixed bag overall fine

pros solved my issue cons why can’t someone change their email in the ui took about 4 back and forth where initial request was misunderstood (LLM triaging?) and then a step was missed on 3rd time, understood and resolved fourth time. can’t really complain but again the premise needing to do the entire flow is questionable. may be a waste of support resources to do something very fundamental (only service i see where changing email for account is not easy - except my own self hosted services hhdhahaha)
