Fast friendly experience. The car beds are awesome! My dogs normally whine when in the car. First ride with the new beds went great, both my dogs laid right down no whining. I am very pleased with the quality and how they fit in my car. Great find!!
My beautiful girl was recently diagnosed with a form of cancer. We had just moved to a different state so everyone all of our animals and the humans are still in somewhat of an upheaval. And now we deal with chemo. Since we were going to be driving 1 1/2 to 2 hours each way for her treatments I wanted to get my girl something special for the car to make her ride a little easier. And quite frankly mine too. So this backseat dog bed had so many positive reviews and it looked so comfy I thought I would give it a try. O M G. It is more beautiful than the pictures even show. My girl is a large dog she is a chow mix and her back legs are developing arthritis. She is 12. I always had to help lift her up to get into the backseat of the car she didn't want to get in and she didn't want to get out. It is a van actually. I put that dog bed in the backseat and hooked it up just like in the picture -- spreads all the way across both bench buckets and to end side to side like an envelope of plush softness When I began to open the car door with the new bed inside: She jumped herself up into that backseat before the door was totally open!! Since that time she has taken happy comfy trips to the treatment center, my parents house with her Shih Tzu sister, a dog spa, and she and I have spent time in the backseat of the car sitting on that dog bed together LOL! The dogs sleep back there!! no more stressful car rides I cannot believe it. The comfort blanket is real (and free) and she has been taking that comfort blanket in with her for her chemo treatments along with a toy. I cannot say enough about this company except one more thing: as an animal rescuer myself and an attorney who has represented various animal wildlife sanctuaries: it does not get any better than this group. They donate a portion of every purchase to an animal rescue charity. I am in love with this group and I am in love with this product and the way that it surrounds my girls with comfort that they deserve.
Simply the best. If you love your dogs just get it. They deserve the luxury too and it makes the house look much nicer than cheap beds.
Got the dog blanket to match the bed and it’s heaven. My dog curls right up in it and stays asleep for hours. Very happy with everything I’ve ordered so far.
I just received my beautiful car seat bed for my two tiny pups and they love it!! Beautiful, high quality material and super safe! They even through in a free safety belt which I was so grateful for. Even more important is the cause, I will be a customer for life!

I purchased a few items from pelsbarn for my senior dog. The bed with the orthopedic mattress and foam frame is fabulous. She is so comfortable and now sleeps through the night. These products are worth every penny!!!!!
The car bed is a wonderful product for my dog. Ellie HATED car rides which is very unusual for a dachshund. Now she just snuggles in. I bought the double size because there are two dogs. It is well constructed, easy to install, secure, and washable. Highly recommend!
I have bought several items from Pelsbarn . Among them are luxurious dog beds , an orthopedic dog bed, luxurious calming blankets, luxurious sofa beds . . . And I can say that each item has been absolutely the height of quality, plush and easy to keep clean. Just pop it in the washer. I strongly recommend these products to everyone. My Dobermans cuddle and snuggle up in these - and they are also very relaxing during thunderstorms. . Yes- would you believe they become anxious with the claps of loud thunder. I just wrap them up in the calming. Blankets and their tension fades away.
It was shipped promptly. Unfortunately, there must be an odor as my dog wouldn’t go near the bed or the blanket. I was under the impression this company was located and made the product in the USA. It notes a California address, but when I checked the shipping box, they are made in the Netherlands. I had to return the two beds and the one blanket, read the fine print as you have to request a RA, and you pay completely for your return. Even though there’s a California address, you get a different address to ship, which for me happened to be Pennsylvania. I got the air out of the product to make it small and fit back in its original bag. The original bag had tiny holes. The air would expand the product. Turns out I had to use several bags. The original return box would’ve cost me $132, by using three separate bags, I was able to reduce the cost of the return to $64. As a senior on a fixed income, I asked for them to split my return cost which was denied. Please read the fine print. CustomerService did however Work with me via email. I do wish I was able to speak to someone which I find a little frustrating.
I needed to exchange a purchase for a different product, and Pelsbarn made it so easy and simple. Great customer experience. My dogs also love the products.
There products arrive just as described in their literature and performs very effectively. My 2 dogs especially like the cooling pads and calming blankets.
I ordered the by one get one bed and only received one bed. The post office said it was delivered and Pelsbarn refuses to check into the matter any further or initiate a claim with USPS. They expect me to do it. It is their responsibility as the shipper to take care to initiate a claim. I have never experienced this before with any other vendor. The USPS is so unreliable that it is probably lost. In addition, when you call them, they keep you on hold for at least 15 minutes and then hang up on you saying they are too busy to answer. No way to leave a message. I have exchanged numerous emails with them to no avail.
I bought a buy one get one free for a luxury dog bed as it turned out the bed was too large for my dogs. I’ve tried to reach them by telephone only to be told by their machine. Sorry we’re way too busy… Sendi an email”. I sent an email. It took more than 72 hours for them to respond in some robotic fashion. I’m trying to actually return these for a smaller bed and it’s impossible. You have to pay to return these, you have to pay a restocking fee times two, and then the price is higher for the small beds then it was for the medium/large bed. To get what I need it’s gonna cost me shipping (37$), $15.98 for restocking, and an additional $28 for the smaller bed!! Talk about not getting by one get one free it cost a fortune. The beds by the way are very nice so if you order the right thing the first time great if you don’t, forget it
