We ordered for a pair of new glasses after a detailed eye examination at Synsam Täby Centrum in Stockholm . We paid in full . After that there was no information or communication regarding the delivery of glasses even after a month had passed by . Today we we went to the Synsam store in Täby to enquire about our glass. We were told by the customer service person that delivery status was not available due to a delay . The lack of communication or any information is a disaster and so frustrating . The person at the counter told us that they would call us the coming week with a status update .We have lost trust with Synsam.
It is a total scam. I was convinced to sign up for a subscription, and never was it mentioned that I would only be renting the glasses and would have to pay for them at the end of the subscription period. It would have cost me much less to buy the glasses without the prescription. There is no benefit to the subscription. Avoid this scam.
Had very bad experience from Synsam Outlet on Mårtenstårget in Lund'. I came there to make an eye test and order new eyeglasses after the test. The test has been professionally done, however when it came to the selecting eyeglasses I was really shocked! The price announced to me was above 15000- And that was not even incl. any of the famous frames. Three years ago I ordered progressive eyeglasses with one of the most expensive Hugo Boss frames at SynOptik for 4500-. Did prices raise so much during last 3 years or something is wrong locally here with Synsam Outlet on Mårtenstårget??? Sounds really crazy for the shop who decided to call themselves "outlet". Lev ================================== Added on March 8 2026. ================================== I took the results of the eye check and went to SynOptiker in Burlöv, who made me previous eyeglasses. I refused to belive that 15000 now is the new reality for glasses. The result is: for 11000- I will get 2(two) pairs of eyeglasses! Both will have most expensive frames. For the first eyeglasses SynOptiker will reuse my Hugo Boss frame. The lady in Synsam in Lund lied to me, looking directly into my eyes- she told me that reuse is not possible. Second frame will ve light titanium one from Bjorn Borg. Personally I want to say BIG THANKS to Jainaba Nyang - customer support specialist working in SynOptiker Burlöv. Great customer service, personal approach that is so hard to find nowadays and really will to help. Huge difference with Synsam in Lund, who only want you money. I still do not understand whom these prices are adressed to? Students from Lund? Pensioneers?Or just people who are completely unaware about the real prices of eyeglasses and make spontaneous decisions.
Four years ago, I bought progressive glasses for the first time from Synsam. I paid 11,300 SEK by card and everything was fine. After about two years, the glasses were damaged, and I decided to buy the same ones again because I really liked the frame I had. I went to a Synsam store at Solna Centrum, where they suggested that I take the glasses with a two-year subscription (abonnemang). I was clearly told that the total cost would not be higher than paying the full amount upfront. I asked this several times to make sure, and I was reassured each time. Two months ago, when the two-year period ended, I informed them that I would not continue the subscription because I had moved to another country. At that point, I was told that I had two options: either to pay an additional 6,900 SEK in order to keep the glasses, or to return them. I explained that at the time of purchase I was told that after the two years no further payment would be required and that my obligation would be fully settled. However, they responded that the contract I signed stated otherwise. Unfortunately, my Swedish is not sufficient to read and fully understand a contract in a short amount of time, especially under pressure. The sales representative was very persistent and strongly insisted that this was the best decision I could make. This does not feel like the behavior of a serious company, but rather like that of a small, unreliable shop. I am very disappointed
Synsam at Fridkullagatan Gothenburg is a ’bad apple in the baket’; No service: personel is more interested in talking with each other or with friends by phone, than helping waiting customer. Have you ordered glasses? - They will sell them to anorher customer without telling you. If you buy glasses- They do not adjust them, since they are only interested in selling.
Worst experience ever. DO NOT sign a contract with them until they explain every single detail on it as you end up paying 10 times more if you need to opt out of the contract. I receive ZERO explanation why I was demanded to pay such high fees. I asked, and my husband too about what exactly we were paying and they just riddle and dazzle in their responses. Stores and online/phone support definitely are not synchronized. You should have an option for cases like this instead of just forcing us to pay a huge amount without any benefits just pure cash to their pockets.
Our son’s friend glasses lost a screw while playing. We need it a quick fix so I went to the nearest shop. Synsam at Hornsgatan 56, 118 21 Stockholm. I don’t know from which shop may son’s friend glass were bought, so I just ask if they can fix it with a non original screw. At the end they did, but changed me 100SEK for non original screw. Is this normal? Apparently not in another stores. Will avoid Synsam from now on.
I am very disappointed with my eye examination. It took place Uppsala 25-09-06, Dragarbrunnsgatan. 1. I was not informed when I booked my examination in the shop that it was going to be digital. I am 69 years old and have hearing problem. I was informed after the examination that Synsam also offer physical meetings - first disappointment. 2. I have terminal glasses as well as progressive glasses. I was asked to put on "ordinary glasses" during the examination. I regard my terminal glasses as ordinary and put on my terminal glasses. The optician assumed I had my progressive glasses on and continued the examination. Afterwards, she said I my sight had severly become worse and I needed for sure better progressive glasses. I then realized there was this misunderstanding about the glasses. I pointed this out but she never acknowledged the mistake or offered to do a reexamination. 3. I got very worried about my sight and asked to get a printout on my results from 2022 and 2025 so that I myself could see and validate the change. I got two printouts - but realized when I got home that both sheets were the 2025 results. Very sloppy handled. Magnus Persson Borres Uppsala 25 09 10
I’ve been waiting for my shipment 2 weeks . Postnord claims that the package is still in Norway, since the sender sent it with an incorrect barcode, but I haven’t received any info from Sysam’s, neither they are replying to my emails. Terrible customer service 🤬
Do not use this unprofessional company! My son had an eye test and needed them to send in documents to allow him to begin driving lessons. We had to go into the shop on 3 separate occasions to remind them to do this,a they never answer the phone, nor do they respond to emails. But unfortunately Synsam are completely inept and incapable of the most basic customer needs. This led to an additional sight test at another company in order to attain the correct documentation, which wasted over a month and led to additional costs. AVOID SYNSAM AT ALL COSTS!!!
There was no follow up email to confirm my new lenses are being ordered or how long it will be until they arrive?
Absolutely the worst company and I suggest anyone avoid it!! They are a load of skam artists grabbing after your money and when you try to exit this disgusting firm they give you so much grief!! I get bill after bill when I have gone into one of their branches to say STOP enough and still they keep on!!! Keep away is all I can say : you get nothing from them anyway : would like my money back as they’re thieves! I can see this company has had so many bad reviews that they issue a standard reply to people like myself. It’s really shameful that there is no human response! I am sure these negative reviews will eventually catch up and begin to find other companies that give a good service!!
One star is way to much! Had a booking on Sunday 3 nov 13.00. They called me 30 oct, I couldn’t answer, I call back, I speak with a guy, I told him I do not want an assistant, I need an optician because I need to change the lenses, because I get headaches, and he clearly re-assures me that there is no issue, there will be an optician. Sunday comes, 11:00 ( 2 hours before the appointment) a woman is calling me to re-book me because there is no optician. 2 hours. I planned all my Sunday around this appointment. I made a new appointment, Tuesday 5 Nov 13:15. I take time off from work, just to receive a call on Monday at 18:13 !!!! that there is no optician, and if I want to rebook 🤬🤬 The most un-proffesional people. Just book yourself anywhere else. Literally, anywhere!
