ReviewTerminal Summary

TeachaBags has a 1.1/5 rating with nearly unanimous customer complaints about severe false advertising, receiving a drastically smaller and weaker flashlight than shown in promotional videos, and poor customer service including refund disputes.

What customers love

  • Product is lightweight and portable
  • USB rechargeable via phone charger
  • Bright enough for basic utility tasks like vehicle inspection

Common concerns

  • Bait-and-switch advertising: videos show large, powerful flashlight; customers receive small pocket-sized plastic flashlight
  • Product claims are false: advertised as fire-starting and balloon-popping; actual flashlight cannot perform these functions
  • Poor customer service: unresponsive support email, arbitrary partial refunds (40-50%), high return shipping costs ($76+), some customers charged multiple times
  • Significant size and quality mismatch: advertised as heavy-duty metal; delivered as cheap plastic, 50% smaller than shown

Did not receive the product as advertised.

I paid for the flashlight that was advertised as very high lumens, so high that it could start a fire due to the strength of its beam. But I was sent a cheapo plastic model. Bait and switch is what they're marketing strategy is nowl

This is definitely a case of…mis-represention, fraud and a scam!

This is definitely a case of mis-represention! The flashlight ordered was the length of my cell phone, no case, no strap, but was lucky a USB cord was supplied. I have dollar store flashlight that are the same size and power as this one. Ripped off! Company needs to be shut down! Teachabags should be shut down! Will never order from them again, and advise that to everyone!

My complaint regarding Teachabags is…avoid them like the plague!

My complaint regarding Teachabags is their obvious “Bait & Switch” video scam. The flashlight in question looks terrific in their videos - very large, very powerful, able to start a fire. However, what I received was a pathetic plastic flashlight, half the size of the one in their video, unable to create any heat when I held it to my hand, and extremely weak. The email address for service does not exist according to the email I received when my email to them was bounced back to me. They are total scam!

There's people are false advertising…

There's people are false advertising and scamming. Every time I try to get a hold of them they ignore me and they're forcing me to contact a better business bureau. These people also took money out of me the same price four times. I got a hold of a company that they apparently sell for and got my refund but these people took the money back out just as quick as they refunded it. I didn't receive any items there's no shipping or delivering.

This company engages in fraud

This company engages in fraudulent advertising. First they show a large flashlight that they intimate can burn through objects. Of course, LED lights are cool and would not burn through anything. Then, half way through the ad, they switch flashlights to a smaller flashlight that is as weak as a traditional flashlight. I found out the hard way. I strongly suggest you avoid these flashlights unless you don’t care about what you are buying.

Ad is not the same product

The product in the ad is metal and heavy duty , the product you recieve is plastic . The ad says you can start fires with the added lens , there is no added lens , and although the light is very bright , it's not the balloon popping , firework starting light they show . It doesnt come with a rechargeable battery or a case to keep it in . I'll keep the everloving thing just because I can recharge it with my phone cord . It's bright enough to inspect my truck in the dark , but not enough to brighten my lack of joy for it .

I gave one star because I couldn’t give…

I gave one star because I couldn’t give anything lower. They didn’t send me the flashlight that’s in this advertisement. They sent me some light cheap piece of shit that was about 5” long. It wasn’t in a case. It was in a little cardboard box and there wasn’t a magnifier with it either. Then they jacked me around about sending it back. When I did send it back they wanted tracking on it and it cost me $76.40 to send it back and then they sent me an email saying they couldn’t refund 50%. This was just a scam all the way around

Do not order the flashlights from these people. I ordered twice and received a very small flash. It is 1/2 the size of one that is advertised on line. They are a fraud. I will report them to PayPal.

This company can be honest by stop lying. The ad you showed and the cheap Flashlight you sent were not the same. You did help me by making me check a company's history before I buy. I saw another ad of a product that I was going to buy. When I saw teachabag.com, stroll to a new screen.

I was excited to get what I “thought” was going to be a big, strong ultra powerful flashlight. What I got was a tiny flashlight that is no better than any you can buy at any store that sells them. Teachabag is a TOTAL ripoff, and in my estimation, is committing fraud every time their ad is shown! Do not waste your time, and especially your money, on this product!

This is a scam

This is a scam. The flashlight you get is nothing as advertised. No case, no strap, half the size, no later type function, no popping balloons or setting credit card on fire, etc. I notified customer service and and they did not offer the unit advertised, the just refunded 40%. Even with that it is still a ripoff. Beware.

False advertisement...

So as you see the first flashlights they're advertising are huge, & really bright, but yet it's all false advertisement, to suck you in, make you think you are getting the huge light, but then when you are taken to the next page to order, you have a bunch of still pics, & it shows the light, looking the same, but without the strap. You have to look closely at the pics, & notice that the light is much smaller in these people's hands. You aren't getting the big flashlight they showed in the false advertisement video.

I ordered a large high power flashlight that turned out to be just a little flashlight. Not sure if some cheap company is using your name
