Wondershare has a severely damaged reputation (2.2/5 rating) due to widespread complaints about unauthorized charges, aggressive refund denials, and non-functional products, with only isolated positive experiences in a predominantly negative review set.

Excellent app! Really user friendly and any one can use it. I wanted something that is smart and easy to use for video editing and this really delivered through Filmora.
I purchased Dr.Fone for an FRP unlock on a Tecno BF6, but it failed completely. I contacted support within the refund period, but agent Margaret refused to help unless I provided 'logs' from an uninstalled program. This is a scam to avoid giving refunds. My Wondershare ID is 474273936
Product doesn't work, and there's no customer support (other than useless AI that can't connect you to any representative). I wrote emails, waited for weeks for a reply, and never got one. They won't even let you leave a review on their page unless if it's a positive review! I've been robbed, and if I had the money, I would sue. Stay away!
Total scam. I signed up for a trial and they keep taking my money! I can't call them to stop the payments. Got to cancel my CC. DON"T USE THEM
I got an email but it didn't mention the fact that they billed me for 2 accounts when I only had 1. No refund, of course. The email only told me how to cancel my account - and when I followed the instructions given, they were wrong! Apparently AI is the only "I" at Wondershare. WHAT A TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH! Original Review: This company is TERRIBLE to deal with. Forget ever dealing with a human, everything is done by AI. They double billed me for over $50/mo for 2 months. When I caught it the 2nd month, I asked for a refund for the duplicate billing. They refused.
Amazing filters, amazing restoring images, and videos and love the merging of the videos in pretty fast it just that they always have. I think every year they have an upgrade update. I’ve been with them since Amazing filters, amazing restoring images, and videos and love the merging of the videos in pretty fast it just that they always have. I think every year they have a upgrader I’ve been with them since I think Wondershare 14 and now it’s at 17, but if you get the membership a discount,
I thought I was buying a 7-day free trial with atomic renewal with charge after 7 days unless cancel early. The free trial was non for the plan but for an addition program which I didn’t even want. The description on the page was very misleading and deceive. During the purchase there was no recap of the costs. Turned out I bought a plan didn’t even was the one I clicked on. I clicked on 6,66$ per months or 19,99$ per trimester. Inexplicably the charged me 67,08$. I tried to contact the customer service for explanation. They told me the plan has no free trial. I ask for refund and didn’t get any feedback. Very disappointed. This is a total scam!!!!
Back in 2023 I've purchased an app to MobileTrans - Phone Transfer, to use to transfer data from an old phone to an old phone. The app never worked, and when I asked for a refund they tried to push me to do troubleshooting steps, which I did and still didn't work. They even directed me to check their FAQ for refund. Regardless about the refund, at that time they advertised that is Refund guarantee no question asked. They lied to me. I will will never recommend products from wondershare to no one! After searching on Google I found another program, and I was able to have my data moved to my new phone, and BETTER it was FREE and open source!
I tried the 3 day trial of Wondershare Phone Dr. All I saw was redirects to the page that sells. Like an idiot I bought the software thinking I had a 3 day trial. Turns out that was a lie also. I thought I cancelled the order with a reason given that it did not work. They processed my payment with PayPal and it has not been refunded for 12 days. I tried calling them and got a message to go to the website but there is no way to cancel. I tried emailing and all I get are AI responses that don't really say anything.
Signed up for the 3 day free trial for whatsapp backup and restore. Low and behold i'm charged $7.19 on a rolling contract??? Which I did not sign up for! Applied for a refund but its nonrefundable! Reason -'we regret to inform you that your case falls outside the refund scope because it belongs to personal reasons', like what does that even mean? Contacted customer support to appeal but have been ignored. So its a free trial but you have to pay for it, which you don't find out about until you sign up!!! I will do like other reviewers have suggested and dispute this charge with my bank. I would recommend staying clear of this company.
very bad, dont doing what they say...
Update - still nothing!! No customer support service reaching out. I signed up for a free trial of Dr.Fone to transfer WhatsApp data and cancelled my subscription at the sam time as signing up and received my confirmation of cancellation, however I was still charged! I have since tried to contact Wondershare support and followed up but have not received a response, and there is no clear way to speak to a human or resolve the issue directly, no clear email address/support. This feels very misleading, as the free trial and cancellation process is not as transparent as expected. I am now requesting a full refund and a proper response from customer support. If this is not resolved, I will be raising the matter with my bank as a disputed transaction. I would appreciate someone from Wondershare contacting me to resolve this promptly.
I purchased a lifetime plan for WonderPDF expecting permanent access to all basic features. The reality: even as a lifetime subscriber, simply saving a PDF downloaded from the internet — without any editing — adds a watermark to the document. A basic function like open and save is blocked to force purchase of newer paid versions. On top of that, the company repeatedly pressures lifetime subscribers to "upgrade" their plan with new payments — which is, in practice, a unilateral contract change and an abusive practice under Brazilian consumer protection law (CDC, art. 51). I uninstalled the software and switched to an alternative. Do not recommend. UPDATE — Reply to Wondershare's response: Wondershare's reply does not address the actual issue reported. My complaint was not about lacking access to future major versions — it was about a watermark being added when simply opening and saving a PDF downloaded from the internet, without any editing whatsoever. That is not a "future version feature"; it is a basic function expected even from free PDF readers. The explanation about perpetual licenses would be acceptable if the purchased version actually worked for basic use. What is happening, in practice, is the intentional degradation of core functionality to force new purchases — a well-known commercial dark pattern. For Brazilian consumers, this may constitute deceptive offering and product defect under arts. 18 and 35 of the CDC. I maintain my recommendation: do not purchase Wondershare products.
very good app. can get new ideas and makes you creative
Downloaded perpetual license software onto new computer. Download was problematic but I found workarounds. But now, even after signing in, I can't export without either watermarks or a paid upgrade (for software which I don't need). So instead I tried downloading an earlier version still (11) - this repeatedly crashed on opening. Tech support, either by phone or chat, is just a bot that goes round in circles and avoids the issue. Edit - I did eventually manage to download this via a different route, and also having to download a patch which I had to research elsewhere. And had to restart the computer because it crashed first time. The software itself, assuming it's now stable, is good, at least for my relatively modest editing needs. But I stand by the point that it seems to be made difficult to download in order to make users pay again for the upgrade. In summary, decent software but a nightmare to access. Upgraded from 1 star to 2.
