Booked a flight with qantas 9 march. was downgraded from business to economy. paid business price. expedia keep saying that they can't contact qantas. qantas say that expedia should be able to contact them to arrange the refund. DO NOT USE EXPEDIA !!!!
Everyone knows that at least 24 hours are acceptable required to be refunded for canceling a room reservation at a hotel. But why did I buy travel insurance from Expedia when it ought to protect my purchase-- especially when my flight was canceled because of a hurricane and Marriott did not have the courtesy to refund my money when I couldn't have possibly known until arriving at the airport that my flight was cancelled?? After what was a further three-day delay in which Marriott claimed to review my case, they informed me that there were no flexible considerations or circumstances under which they would honor a refund. I am a retiree with a meager income. It takes time to save for a little excursion. Please people, do not buy travel insurance from expedia (they could at least refunded me the $9.00 premium which did not protect my trip. And for Heavens sake, lots of Hotels have clean beds and a coffee maker in their rooms -- stay somewhere that offers a decent price, honors travel difficulties beyond your control and gives a break to seniors.
Expedia has not provided check-in details for a house we reserved through their website. DO NOT BOOK ACCOMODATIONS THROUGH EXPEDIA... THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY HORENDOUS!!!!!!!!!!
Expedia website states the travelers must be 18 in order to fly unaccompanied. This is not true. People will think it’s a law It is not It simply Expedia policy but it does not state that So you have to call the Airline directly to book a ticket for a or 17 or 16 or 15 Year old It will not sell a ticket to a traveler age 15, 16 or 17 I spoke with an agent and their supervisor Expedia website says a traveler must be 18. That’s not true it’s just Expedia policy Nowhere where do they state it is their policy not a law and misleading customers into thinking that it is true for domestic travel which is it is not When I suggested that they state it’s Expedia’s policy and not mislead customers into thinking that that’s a law, they basically hung up on me Ryan and Jared are representatives I spoke to the First is a customer service rep. The second is a supervisor and they are deaf blind, and as close minded as you could imagine. While I was very polite, Jared hung up on me.

I attempted to book a holiday package through Expedia on 29 April 2026 involving KLM flights and hotel accommodation. During both booking attempts, the website displayed an error page and no confirmation was provided, yet two payments of around £1,000 were taken. An Expedia agent initially told me the payments would be refunded within 72 hours, but no refund was processed. My bank later confirmed that no refund instruction or reversal request had been initiated by the merchant. Expedia subsequently provided KLM booking references linked to the transactions, but both bookings now show as cancelled on the KLM website. I raised a formal complaint with Expedia on 12 May and opened a dispute with my bank. They still have not replied to me until this point (20 May). Very disappointing experience and extremely difficult to resolve through customer support.
I just want to express about my recent experience with Expedia. I booked a ticket month February but I have called their customer service for the requirements to bring during the flight. Imagine tomorrow is our flight I found out the consent letter from other parent is badly needed. It is non refundable flight so I have to say goodbye to $2000. I got penalized for not being informed what to obtain in the flight ahead of time. So disappointing beyond belief that this is happening. No refund, rebooking will cost $1000
Tia is a retry shirty company that wil not let you change your booking. I think this is crazy and will never book with these guys again
Expedia customer service is extremely poor, when searching for the flight I requested a flightfrom point A to point B. The offer me a connecting flight, yes me assuming they will do the stuff right but did not. The connection flight had me landing in one city, and the other connection flight was at a different city. When flight for the same airline were at the city I landed at… I had to paid time 2 for the same baggages check to the same Airline, for a total cost of 326 dollars. Plus a taxi 130 euros and go through the country immigration services twice. Please beware, as I trusted Expedia to do the right thing, and I was taken for the ride of my life.
Expedia refused to issue a refund for my non-refundable Heathrow hotel stay even after I explained that I missed my connection in New Delhi. Shameful that even though not my fault, Expedia didn't recognize the realities of travel. My Air India flight from Nepal missed the connection in New Delhi and so I didn't make it to my hotel in London Heathrow... HILTON GARDEN INN LONDON HEATHROW T2 - come again soon! Date: April 29, 2026 at 9:07:16 PM EDT Good morning Expedia representative, I am emailing as I was supposed to stay at a Hilton property at Heathrow Terminal 2-3 on Monday April 27, 2026 through Tuesday April 28, 2026. Unfortunately, my flight from Kathmandu, Nepal to New Delhi, India was so delayed, that I missed my connecting flight from New Delhi, India to London Heathrow. As soon as I debarked from the plane in New Delhi, India and realized that I missed the connection (by about 15 minutes), I texted my cousin in London to ask him to call the Hilton to let them know that I missed my connection and wouldn’t be able to take a flight until the next day. Unfortunately, as he called (immediately) at about 1:45 pm India time (around 6 to 8 pm London time), I cancelled at the last minute and after the cancellation policy deadline. I was charged £188.26 as a cancellation fee. As I immediately called to inform you about the missed connection, I would like to ask for a refund of the full amount. I use Expedia and was surprised that even with a missed connection, there was no way to get a refund for a non-refundable reservation. I would appreciate the courtesy of the refund. I am sure that I am not the first person whose connection was missed and I am confident that you will refund me the full amount. I will be calling Hilton Honors in the morning to request that they contact you for the refund as it was too late this evening to speak to a representative at your property. Thank you in advance, Nick Expedia confirmation number: 3428975416
Absolutely terrible. Falsely advertised hotel…. Worst hotel I’ve been to. Expedia did nothing after we left and we ended up paying for two hotels. Their customer service representative hung up on me while trying to resolve it. I will never use them again.
Expedia is ultimately one of the worst travel agencies. I am hoping for this company to collapse and no longer exist.
I’m about to miss my mom’s funeral, in Sweden, due to Expedia. We booked flights with plenty of time to transfer. It costed $12000. Expedia decided to sell our tickets, so we ended up with flights with minimal transfer time. Not good for international travel. So the first flight with United got delayed, so we missed our flight to Sweden. Scandinavian airline doesn’t have 24h customer service. So we couldn’t get them to rebook us. Several flights was available. Expedia didn’t want to help, since they sold the tickets to the airlines. Since United caused part of the problem they finally rebooked for 24h later. I’m probably going to miss my mom’s funeral. This sucks. Never use Expedia. And yes we tried to get earlier flights, but nothing was available.
I booked a flight on May 18 at 7:05 PM from LGA to BNA through the app. It showed my booking as confirmed and gave me a confirmation number. But when I arrived at the airport, Delta said they couldn’t find any reservation. I contacted customer service and was told the booking never went through, which was shocking because the app clearly showed it as confirmed. After that, I saw the booking get canceled. Because of this, I missed my trip to Nashville. I don’t understand how the app could show a confirmation if the booking wasn’t processed, why I only found out on the day of travel, and why my money wasn’t refunded earlier. This was very frustrating and disappointing.
DO NOT BOOK WITH EXPEDIA!! Even though I bought the insurance they would not refund me when trip had to be canceled because of a family member’s anxiety. They do not consider mental health a legitimate reason to cancel and be refunded.
