HubSpot customers at 1.2/5 stars report severe issues with support accessibility, misleading billing practices, rigid contracts, and frequent technical bugs that severely undermine the platform's otherwise capable feature set.
What customers love
Powerful CRM features and functionality, particularly strong for sales tracking
Comprehensive platform with extensive integration capabilities
Common concerns
Support is virtually unavailable—customers cannot reach technical support, sales reps unresponsive, AI chat unhelpful, and support locked behind subscriptions
Deceptive billing practices including hidden automatic upgrades, unauthorized charges, year-long contract lock-in without clear consent, and inability to cancel mid-term
Platform is buggy and unstable with frequent crashes, data loss, unintuitive interface, and fragile workflows where accidental clicks cause permanent data loss
Overly complex system with steep learning curve, poor documentation, and requires external agencies or backend solutions to function properly
Aggressive sales tactics followed by abandonment—relentless cold calling, locked-in contracts, and no refunds even for unused services

Lots of features on paper
Lots of features on paper, but the interface feels dated and harder to navigate than it should be. A lot of things are locked in place with no way to customize, which gets frustrating when you're trying to adapt it to how your team actually works.
