DISGUSTING LAW-BREAKING SCHEMERS: Unlawful Denied Boarding & Extortion at Stansted!

DO NOT TRUST RYANAIR. I was completely stranded at London Stansted because their ground staff are either dangerously uneducated or actively running a scam to extort passengers. I was booked on a flight landing in Europe on May 21st at midnight. My Schengen visa is legally valid starting May 21st. Under Article 26 of the Schengen Convention, a carrier's ONLY duty is to ensure valid entry documents at the point of arrival. Because my flight lands on the exact date my visa becomes active, my documentation is 100% legal. The incompetent ground staff completely refused to understand basic logic or look at my arrival date. They incorrectly checked my visa against the departure date, power-tripped, and blocked me from boarding. To make matters worse, they flat-out refused to give me the legally mandated written Denied Boarding Certificate, trying to cover up their error. They then forced me to pay an extortionate £100 per person out-of-pocket just to rebook onto the morning flight, completely violating their UK-EU261 Duty of Care obligations to provide a hotel and food. Ryanair refuses to take accountability for this absolute daylight robbery. I have already escalated this entire fraudulent ordeal to AviationADR for financial reimbursement and filed a formal report with the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Avoid this law-breaking airline at all costs!

The desk assistant in Birmingham

The desk assistant in Birmingham, Babita, needs to improve her customer service skills. She was unhelpful and came across as rude, which made the experience disappointing.

Ryanair

Ryanair; the claimed best / only low fair airline. They don’t update their TOBT so no one know they are late. They don’t prioritise the offload of bags when they arrive late, all because it is easier to just ignore the late arrival and focus on the remaining on time services. So when they are late they don’t care even more so than they generally done care anyway. Not helpful for family either with assistance parents involved. Crap airline. But lots of monopoly routes. If only you gave as much concern about your other KPIs relating to customers as you do your profits, cost per barrel of oil and OTP you might scrap off this terrible score on Google.

Absolute rip-off and deceptive pricing trap for flight changes!

I am extremely frustrated by Ryanair's unethical and deceptive dynamic pricing system. I had a confirmed booking for 27/05/2026 (originally costing £75) and wanted to modify it to 17/09/2026.During the flight change process, Ryanair’s system tried to charge me a staggering £151.87 per passenger. This consisted of a £45 change fee plus an inflated new ticket price of £181.99.However, when I opened a completely separate, standard search for the exact same flight on 17/09/2026 as a new customer, the public price was only £61.55.This means Ryanair deliberately inflates the base fare of the flight by nearly 200% exclusively for existing customers who try to modify their booking. It is cheaper to completely abandon my paid ticket and buy a brand-new one rather than using their modification system. This is a blatant, anti-consumer trap designed to milk extra money from passengers. Beware of this modification scam!

Subject

Subject: Unfair Luggage Fines and Greedy Staff Tactics at Paphos Airport I am writing to expose the unfair and aggressive practices of Ryanair's ground staff at Paphos Airport. I was forced to pay an unjustified extra luggage fine, a situation that is constantly repeated with passengers at this specific airport. It feels entirely clear that the staff are driven by commissions and financial incentives rather than professional regulations, looking for any minor excuse to penalize travelers right before boarding. Their behavior is unprofessional, hostile, and completely ruins the travel experience. Paying for a ticket shouldn't mean being extorted at the gate. I highly warn other travelers flying through Paphos with Ryanair to be extremely careful, and I urge management to review the greedy behavior of their airport agents.

I strongly advise against this company, customer care is zero (or even less), assistance is zero, convenience is zero. I'd rather pay a little more and let them fail.

I had a flight from Eindhoven to…

I had a flight from Eindhoven to Manchester today 19/05/2026 at 17.40 pm . I bought a 10 kg check in bag when I booked my flight, I weighed my bag at home also in airport with the ticket to confirm that was 10.4 kg I checked in and sent it. When I wanted to go pass access did not let me pass. When I spoke to customer service desk they gave me completely different tick which is showing 13.9 kg and charged me for 4 kg extra This is fraud and unfair with your customer. I will take this matter further and need compensation .

Delayed AGAIN

Flight return to Gatwick was not exactly cheap. Above €170. The flight out was 1.5 hours late due to the aircraft needing replacent. My flight was late in the evening and to be delayed by an hour and a half is dreadful when you arrive late enough anyway. Adding 1.5 hours just makes the whole experience worse. Now that I think of it, a year previous my flight was delayed by a couple of hours because we were waiting for the flight that just left Dublin. What the hell is that all about! Sitting there dying to get home and knowing I have to wait for the plane to get to Gatwick from Dublin. Cheap flights only available late in the evening if you book close to flight time. The biggest trick around!

I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could. Those scammers love to apply hidden charges for any reason. Poor app and portal. They want us to do everything online, but don't provide the minimum decent app performance. Then I ended up paying extra €110 on top of a flight that should cost only €134. I made all my efforts to get to the airport and speak with an agent 2 hours before the flight. The lady wan't nice to me, then by the time she processed the check-in in the system, it was 1 hour and 51 minutes for the flight. Then she said she couldn't do anything and I had to pay the fee. The online customer service is the worst I've ever seen. They just give automatic messages and keep closing the case. SCAMMERS!
