I would have thought that providing an email/password login would be a bare minimum for an ecommerce platform. Shopify used to provide this, but has decided to instead lock you into their own custom Shopify login process that takes you off of your store's site to their site. They are offering no workarounds. If they can break such a critical and simple process as email/pass logins, who knows what else they will change. I would not recommend putting your company in their hands. Customer service is non-existent, even for Shopify Plus members. The reps give the excuse that they don't have the power to do anything.
Very dishonest and unethical. I set up the account with them to have a chance to generate some income from selling the second-hand items. However, I haven't had the time to learn how to navigate the sales and have never sold anything. Shopify accounts are unnecessary and quite complicated, and they take a while to learn to operate. Furthermore, my initial deal was going to be 3 months fee-free, followed by 3 months of £1 a month. They charged me £25.00, nevertheless. Last night, I sent an email explaining that my income is low and I cannot afford to pay the fee without earning anything, and I cancelled the account. They ignored the email and charged me anyway. I am never going back to that website as their practices are unethical, ignorant and dishonest. Greed before ethics.
Beware of shopify! I talked with live people and told them what I wanted done with my shop. After I paid $500, a few days later I was sent an email saying it was up for me to see and to have a phone conversation to walk me through. I did that and it didn't really have what I had said I wanted. I was told that it is just an example and he proceeded to ask questions I had already told them and filled out "paperwork" online describing in detail. Now, e-mailed the person I guess who I was supposed to contact when I had questions. NOT helpful. I e-mailed to say this was not going to work out and would like to talk to him about receiving a refund. (My shop isn't even active yet, so I thought it would be an easy close. Man am I wrong!) He is always busy, not giving correct information and when I called, he said he would call back after his meeting. It never happened. I tried calling back and no answer. Went to voicemail. I'm so frustrated just like apparently a lot of other people with the horrible customer service and non communication with this company. They collect a paycheck and don't nothing for it. To be clear: My shop is not active, nor is it that far, but it has been since April 9th when all this started. I'm done.
Shopify should be shut down. They turn a blind eye to stores on their platform that sell dangerous products, faulty products, make claims of refund etc yet just scam customers. Disgraceful service, well there is none. They don’t care and business keeps chugging along.
Iv been scammed 3 times now buying non existing items on this site!! How it’s still operating I don’t know! I double check every purchase now to make sure it’s not with shopify!! Also, Google should look into some sites on their advertising board! It’s so blatant.
This company had the most annoying, repetitive, intrusive advertising on tunein radio, it hasn’t changed for what seems like years. I would never buy this product based on their advertising, I’d actually pay to never hear it again.

You can’t put many products of different brands in one category of electronics, each brand has to have each category.

I have hosted my shop on Shopify's platform for five years now. They were efficient until five months ago when they converted their support system to one that involves no human interaction. Any issue you have is met with hurdles, dead ends, and disconnects. Every action these 'support agent's execute is carefully designed to delay you from reaching a solution. You are bombarded with generic templated responses with 'I completely understand's and false hopes of sympathy. You never reach a solution when contacting support, the issue needs to always be escalated to a specialized team. Why does it take a team to answer the question of how one can connect another store's details? What then is the function/purpose of the 'person' who's telling me they appreciate my patience as they took fifteen minutes to figure out how to tell me they cant do anything? I cannot continue to operate in this way with a company whos greed has spilled into their practices.
Paid for product via Shopify. Product ordered fro Puili.com and paid for via Shopify. Product never got delivered. Shopify zero help in resolving issue. I am closing my account and will only use PayPal from now on. PayPal so much better and provides excellent customer support,
We submitted extensive proof during a chargeback dispute, including proof of delivery, customer communications, troubleshooting efforts, and evidence contradicting the customer’s claims. Despite all of this, we still lost both the merchandise and the funds. Even worse, Shopify support later acknowledged confusion surrounding the handling and interpretation of portions of our evidence, yet no meaningful resolution, reimbursement, or merchant protection was offered afterward. We spent countless hours dealing with repetitive scripted responses, endless escalations, and a support system that ultimately left our business absorbing thousands of dollars in losses despite acting professionally and in good faith throughout the entire transaction. This experience completely destroyed our trust in Shopify Payments and exposed how little real protection merchants have when serious disputes happen.
Disgraceful anti-consumer practices. After paying in full for a domain name through shopify, they blocked my access to and ability to migrate it, holding me ransom to a subscription amount I didn't pay when I was no longer using the service. This is anti-consumer, and frankly unlawful uner EU consumer protection laws. It's as if google stopped your ability to use Gmail if you block a payment for YouTube Premium. Will NEVER use this platform again to sell, and will purposefully migrate my other stores to alternatives.
I ordered memopryl from Supplements Quick through Shopify but never received merchandise. Asking my money back,only get running around between Shopify & its seller store. Its seller store contact phone is never available to connect. My $$$$ is gone for nothing !!!!
