This is the second time I have filed a dispute with PayPal and have had proof, disreputable proof of wrongdoing and PayPal sides with the seller. I am paying off the account and I will never use them again and I've had account for eleven years.
I've been with PayPal over 10 years without no problems until now. I'm 70 years old on a fixed income. My son sent me $50.00 through PayPal helping me out until I get my Social Security at the the first of the month. It's been 4 days now and PayPal has not transferred my money to my bank account. I went to my wallet to transfer my money and it didn't have any info about transferring my money. I called PayPal Customer Service talking to their AI program voice. AI didn't understand my problem so I hung up. This is just one example of why I'm not a fan of AI. I want to talk to real people! I being a member of society, we are getting AI crammed down our throats wether we like it or not. Mark my words, AI will be the downfall of society. PayPal is slipping! I'm very disappointed!
Have had good experiences on transactions where no problem existed. But I would strongly recommend AVOIDING PayPal unless no other payment method exists. My latest experience reveals gaping flaws in their customer service when I documented conflicting and erroneous information published by a Chinese Scam calling themselves either GUANG ZHOU or Qurtz Lock Devices Co., Ltd. or Eminentknown.com. NOTE: the use of 3 different names for a single Scam was not made known to me until I had to file complaints. This Scam listed a piece of fly fishing equipment for sale on a Fecesbook post. I ordered, and only after placing the order did the Scam inform me the item was allegedly shipping from Ieland. After 2 weeks and several bogus "updates," I complained because the updates suggested the package was not moving. Moreover, it was in Cheyenne, WY - where all international shipments from Ireland routinely go to pass customs, I suppose. Further complaining indicated the shipment originated in China. At no point was a specific carrier ever identified. Finally, 3 weeks after placing the order, the Tracking Scam, called 17Track.net, used by whoever the vendor really is, announced the item had been delivered on May 1, 2026 by USPS. Of course, that overlooked the fact that another update issued on May 3 said the item was enroute and yet to be delivered. The delivery confirmation offered no USPS tracking number, but alleged the shipment had been made utilizing at least 2 flights, one of which left China, the other of which arrived at JFK. (I don't know what happened to the scheme where it went through Cheyenne, WY). Of course, I never got anything delivered at any time by any of these entities. So when I complained to PayPal, and told them I had contacted the vendor, offered copies of the communications, explained that there were disturbing and fictitious tracking reports involved, and said I would provide all necessary documentation, what did PayPal do? They asked the vendor if the merchandise had been delivered and the vendor supplied the bogus tracking information from the Tracking Scam, and PayPal dismissed my complaint. For anyonme wanting to see my tracking report thru the 17Track Scam, you can try googling 17Trackdotnet & use Your tracking number is JSEDO1769169554YQ.
Locked out of my account for stupid phone verification as I don’t have that phone number anymore , made a new account and received £40 and they limit my account and want to know all information regarding this transaction . Everything was provided yet no reply and it’s been over 10 days , do not use PayPal
After 21 years with PayPal they have just gone downhill and there not far from closing down now as there are no benefits and only costs. Goodbye PayPal.
I trusted this company for years till recently. Was left embarrassed after payment refused in a shop they blamed shop it wasn't. Next time I booked an hotel room online again refused resulting in losing last room. Phoned PayPal not the slightest bit interested blamed company again and then hung up on me? What is going on with them cut up my card that they are trying to promote an absolute shambles sort your company out !!!
Bought an expensive new coat from go outdoors, arrived as used and dirty, so significantly not as described, PayPal didn't care and said sort it out with your bank. So PayPal is completely irrelevant now, used to be good for buyer protection back in the day, but now just use your bank.
