UberEATS delivers an inconsistent service experience with a 3.1/5 rating driven by critical failures in refund policies, customer support responsiveness, and order accuracy, offset by appreciation for delivery speed and food quality when things work correctly.

The app kept referring my pickup order to the wrong location, even though I was sitting in the parking lot of the CORRECT location. I cancelled the order, $46 and called the restaurant for a refund. They told me to call Uber Eats; complete waste of time. Uber Eats rep told me if I had called Uber Eats to cancel instead of cancelling through the app, they would have refunded me. Makes zero sense. I picked up my order at the correct location and paid $92 for the order, because they wouldn't refund me. Done with Uber Eats. By the way, the order wasn't even prepared yet, so they pocketed $46 all because of an glitch with the app.
This app is the WORSTTTTT‼️ Unnecessary fees. Terrible drivers who are unhygienic, don’t or avoid communication, lack urgency, unfriendly, etc. It’s even worse when you expect your food to be delivered by the individual listed but instead are met with other strangers holding and handing off your food. MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. Lets also add that it doesn’t matter if you pay for priority - its likely to still be delivered almost 45+ after initial order time. To top it off, they have a lack of resolution. You can complain, ask for a refund, etc. the generic response basically sums down to “Sorry. Not our problem. Better luck next time.” Absolutely ridiculous and egregious.
UE is garbage. Sick and tired of dealing with people who can't get an order right (misdelivering and messing it up for two customers at once). Never get my business again and I strongly encourage others to avoid them.
I just got overcharged for my order, and there is absolutely no way to communicate with support. Everything is robot-driven, and they keep telling me I did the order wrong. I have actual screenshots of the order because it happened to me previously also. This is ridiculous that they can charge me double! My checkout order said $12, but I was in the end billed $25.84! Uber support just keeps telling me that it’s correct???? How is it correct if my checkout screen on the app shows my order is $12!!!! This is horrifying. Check my attachments.
Charged me more when refused to refund and food was damaged refused compensation scammers charged me more even tho i had funds in my account i was charged twice
About 5 minutes after I entered my order for about 85.00 I tried to cancel my order as the last saved address was my home and not work, and I wanted to change it. They cancelled my order, but charged me $45.00 for "drive and restaurant time." Total BS, and the response was, "Read our terms of service." What service? Assumes facts not in evidence!
Yea it’s very nice smooth and existing
Food was ordered and food was delivered perfectly within 30 minutes. Great service
Ordered over $40.00 being a member, still charged me delivery fee. Increased the price of milk just before delivery the same day. Muffins out of stock were never refunded nor delivered!! Very very poor customer service!
The experience was great with wide range of options to choose from such as groceries to takeaway.
Absolutely horrendous experience with courier “support”. I was met with either unhelpful AI bots or agents who repeatedly copy-pasted the same generic responses without addressing my issue. I was not given a proper opportunity to file a complaint, and the chat was abruptly ended. Overall, one of the worst support experiences I’ve ever had.
Despite me reaching out to uber support and communicating to advise I did not have the option on my end to cancel the subscription/ free trial I was charged without my knowledge. My experience with Uber has been terrible during my membership- rip off markups, late deliveries and general lack of customer service, making me choose to cancel my membership as I did not see a point in continuing. I was then charged for 2 months when I was abroad and discovered this on my bank statement on my return. When I requested the period of January and February to be refunded as I did not use their services in that period following the last email sent to customer service after Sat, Jan 24 at 5:10 PM. They came back with the most generic, automated and uninterested response possible: Thanks for reaching out. We are sorry to hear that you no longer want to continue your Uber One subscription. We’ve reviewed your account and can see that your membership is currently expired. When expired, you are not charged for Uber One. Due to this, we’re not able to refund the period in which your membership was active. Uninstalling thier apps as this level of bandit-run service is far from acceptable and will refrain from using their service for the foreseeable.
Fast service
I recently bought some Uber Eats gift cards to add to my Uber Wallet and it was an absolute pain. They made it so complicated and my account kept saying it wasn't set up for Uber Cash, which had nothing to do with Uber Eats gift cards. The app and website Devs really need to simply the process of adding something as basic as a gift card to a wallet/payment method. Also, when paying for an item with a stored Uber Eats gift card, the final payment page gives the impression that my default debit or credit card is being used for the purchase. Uber Eats does have some great offers and can be cheaper than its UK rivals but it would be good to see where exactly the Uber rider or driver is on the displayed map so we'd know what route they were taking and if they were wasting time or unnecessarily stopping at other places on the way etc.
Recently, I placed two orders through Uber Eats, and one thing I really appreciate about the app is the wide delivery range. Unlike many other delivery apps, Uber Eats is available even for long-distance orders, which is very convenient. However, I have been facing an issue lately that has made my experience frustrating. After placing an order, some drivers accept the delivery request, hold it for several minutes, and then cancel it. Because of this, I often have to wait an extra 45 minutes or more for another driver to become available and accept the order. This has happened to me during my last two orders, and it has affected my overall satisfaction as a customer. I believe Uber Eats should consider reminding drivers that repeatedly accepting and canceling orders negatively impacts the customer experience and causes unnecessary delays. Honestly, this uncertainty now makes me hesitant to order through the app. Sometimes I feel it may be better to pick up the food myself rather than risk long delays caused by canceled deliveries. Other than this issue, I truly like the Uber Eats service, but I hope improvements can be made regarding drivers canceling accepted orders.
