I have had my Revolut account since 2019, and I used it frequently for exchanging money, receiving transfers from abroad, and receiving payments within the UK after selling items. I never did anything harmful or used the account for anything suspicious. One day, Revolut suddenly restricted my account, and a week later they informed me that my account would soon be closed. I tried contacting customer service to find out what had happened, but I never received a proper explanation — only the same scripted replies copied into the chat. After this experience, I would not recommend Revolut to anyone. They do not seem to care about their customers and go straight to the most serious action without even trying to contact you first. I’m just glad this happened now and not during my holidays. If anyone wants some advice, I would recommend looking at alternatives such as Wise, Starling, Monzo, or other providers instead of Revolut.

As a naive 65 year old I was sceptical about using my Revolut bank aboard. I couldn’t have been more wrong! Exchanging currency from my main account, then exchanging into a different currency meant i had total peace of mind as the confirmation was instant on my notifications when I made a transaction. When I arrived home the process of transferring currency back to £ was simple … and with that days exchange rate applied. I honestly cannot rate this service any better. If you’re travelling, you’d be mad not to use Revolut

I love how easy Revolut is to use - from changing currency, saving lose change, paying What’s app friends, online management, freezing and unfreezing cards, temporary cards and much more.
