Robinhood has a 2.5/5 rating marked by severe customer frustration with account access, withdrawal delays, and poor customer support, despite an easy-to-use interface for beginners.

Absolute one of the worst experiences of my life. If you read the terms of service they can terminate your account for zero reasons. I transferred bitcoin from my Robinhood account and they flagged as suspicious and sold all my positions (which now I have to pay tax on). There’s absolutely zero customer support as they lock you out with zero explanation. I will nEVER recommend Robinhood to anyone and will actively share my story with people to stay away!
Dysfunctional. Screwed up. Horrible. Don't do business here. I can't log in. Everything is "suspicious". The only option given is to decline; no option to APPROVE log-in information. How the hell does Robinhood expect people to get to their account? NO ONE answers the so-called customer service phone -- just a recorded message that says to go to the app. But the app only lets you deny, not approve, a log in attempt. Who at Robinhood makes these decisions? What the are they smoking? Why haven't they been shut down for keeping people's money? Where is the Federal Trade Commission?

Genuinely pathetic service when it comes to ISA transfers. 6 weeks and counting, with little to no explanation or updates. Completely left in the dark
I am filing a formal complaint regarding Robinhood Financial LLC for prolonged poor customer service and failure to provide timely and effective assistance in accessing, liquidating, and withdrawing funds from my brokerage account, including stocks and options positions. Details of Issue Over the course of multiple attempts to resolve my account-related concerns through Robinhood customer support, I have experienced: Repeated delays in responses and resolution of my requests Inconsistent and unclear instructions regarding accessing or liquidating my portfolio Lack of effective assistance in executing basic account functions such as selling positions and withdrawing available funds Inability to obtain a clear explanation for delays, restrictions, or processing issues affecting my account Failure to provide a timeline or escalation path for resolution despite repeated follow-ups As a result, I have been unable to efficiently access or transfer my funds, including proceeds from stocks and options positions held in my account. I have provided me all ID verifications but they have denied efficiency and accessibility to determine the rightfulness and authenticity of my identity. Impact This situation has caused significant financial uncertainty and prevented me from exercising full control over my brokerage account assets. Despite my efforts to comply with all platform procedures and requirements, I have not received adequate support or resolution. Requested Resolution Provide a full explanation of any restrictions, holds, or delays affecting my account Facilitate immediate access to liquidation and withdrawal of available funds Correct any internal processing or service failures contributing to delays Provide documentation of all actions taken regarding my account Improve responsiveness and escalation handling for customer service issues of this nature
Robinhood might look sleek and beginner-friendly on the surface, but that’s about where the positives end. Once you run into a real issue—like getting your account reactivated—you quickly see how shallow the experience really is. Waiting days (or longer) for something that should be routine is frustrating enough, but the complete lack of meaningful customer support makes it worse. There’s no real interaction, no sense of urgency, and no accountability—just canned responses and endless delays. For an app that positions itself as a modern trading platform, it falls short where it matters most: reliability and support. Yes, the interface is clean and easy to navigate, but that doesn’t mean much when your money is tied up and you can’t get a straight answer from anyone. Compared to other platforms, Robinhood feels like the least beneficial option for serious trading. It’s fine if you’re casually browsing stocks, but the moment something goes wrong, you’re on your own—and that’s a risk no trader should have to take.
I am writing this to warn others about the deceptive practices of Robinhood and Coastal Community Bank. This is not just about bad customer service; it is about a systemic failure to provide the access promised in their own legal agreements. Contractual Deception: Robinhood’s "Electronic Communication Consent" explicitly states that account information and management are accessible via their website. However, in practice, they have locked my account behind a "smartphone-only" wall, rendering it inaccessible to anyone without the app. "Dark Patterns" in Cancellation: They have made it nearly impossible to cancel a paid Gold Membership without the app. As seen in their support interface, they force users to use "Text Support" or the app to cancel—both of which they have made inaccessible to me. This is a clear attempt to continue charging fees for a service that cannot be used. Bad Faith Handling: Despite an active investigation by the Federal Reserve (Case ID: 019649376), the bank attempted to "close" my inquiry with an automated message. They ignore formal faxes and redirect all help back to the very app that is the source of the problem. Total Lack of Transparency: They are happy to take your money via web-based transfers, but once they have it, they claim you can only manage it via a mobile device. Bottom Line: Do not trust this institution with your money if you value transparency or the ability to manage your finances through a standard web browser. I have been forced to withdraw all my funds and file multiple federal complaints just to stop unauthorized charges.
I got my account deactivated on March 23rd and as of today still waiting for fund to be deposited in my bank and customer service is very excellent they not replying my emais
They add you to paid memberships and take your money without your consent. Then when you point it out they refuse to refund you. Their app is not bad but there’s a lot better out there and I prefer not to have constant upsells and deals being pushed onto customers. It’s dishonest, predatory and cheap.
Customer service sucks!!! Especially after this last phishing attempt on 4/26/2026. I tried to talk to a live person, took over 5 hours. They finally called me at 1130 PM to tell me they will have to freeze my account until 5/1/2026. A whole week? I keep my savings in a separate money market account with them. How can you trust them with over $1 million in personal funds when their customer service is crap. It’s a head scratcher and making me think I need to go back to using vanguard full time and just keeping Robinhood as a low balance account for some play money. So on top of this, next day, they pull over $3k from my personal checking account to pay my Robinhood credit card. I don’t have autopay set up, I manually set my payments. So they basically took $3k twice since I manually set up my payment to pay my statement balance. I call them to figure out what happen. They couldn’t answer my question and offered no solution even though my credit card balance was now in the negatives meaning they owe me money. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they say sorry supervisors are only communicating by email. WTF?!!!! What kind of financial company is this!? Just don’t use them until they fix their horse💩 customer service and get their heads out of their 🫏. I’d gladly pay a little more fee to have a responsive customer service experience that can fix issues and not hide behind the sorry they or we only communicate by emails. I wouldn’t trust them with over a few thousand in my account.
The customer support seldom replies and the overall service is poor . Quick VIP works without fees and delays
Fraudulent.
